Husband!Jaemin was certain he was going to love you until his dying breath. He loved you so much that being away from you for longer than a minute, and he meant it. There was a physical ache in his chest when you were both apart, or arguing, or mad at each other.
You were actually arguing now, and he should have felt that ache, but he didn't. If this were a cartoon, his pupils would be in the shape of hearts and he'd be kicking his feet back and forth.
"Do you realize how gross it is to go to the bathroom and fall into the toilet water?!" You exclaimed, running a hand over your sleep-mussed hair.
Yeah, oops. Jaemin had an unfortunate habit of leaving the toilet seat up. He was good about remembering to lower the seat after he finished his business, but could you really blame him when it was the middle of the night? He was tired, he'd reverted to his old, single guy habits and he went right back to sleep with you in his arms.
You continued to rant, your voice raising and you recounted how you'd already tripped over one of his haphazardly thrown shoes on the way to the bathroom. You told him that you didn't even want to get out of bed until the urge became too much and how you were in the middle some of the best sleep you'd had all week and the cold water on your bare backside was a horrible wake up call. "And honestly, it would have been fine if it were the daytime, but I was sleeping so well. Now, I just feel dirty and cold," you sighed, crossing your arms across your chest.
Jaemin nodded, "you're right, honey."
"You're not going to apologize?" You ask in a calm voice.
Jaemin pouted empathetically, reaching a hand out to pull you back under the covers and press his forehead to your own, "Love, I am so sorry. I will regret this misstep until the day I die and work every day to make up for it. Can you find it in that big, beautiful heart of yours to forgive me?"
You snorted, shoving his shoulder lightly, "you're forgiven. I just need to go shower to get rid of this icky feeling. I want my spot warm when I get back."
He heard the water in the shower turn on as he fluffed up your pillows. He fell back against his own pillows with a sigh, he knew better than to leave the toilet seat up. It was a bad habit that you'd kindly spent many months reminding him to keep in mind. He just hated that it had ruined your sleep. You'd been tossing and turning, waking up early, and going to bed late all week except for tonight. He really did feel bad.
You reentered the room in a new pair of pajamas, smelling fresh and still looking sleepy. Jaemin held a hand out for you and clicked off the bedside lamp while you got comfortable against him once again.
Jaemin rubs your back slowly, his voice quiet and low "I'm so sorry I forgot about the toilet seat, honey. I know how poorly you've been sleeping."
"I'm not upset anymore Jaemin, I promise. I know you were probably really tired too, just try to remember, alright?" You ask while nuzzling against his chest "I'm sorry I raised my voice. I shouldn't have but I was feeling really upset."
Jaemin hums in acknowledgement, nothing the way your speech is slowing with fatigue, "I like when you yell at me."
You laugh in surprise, "w-what?!"
He keeps you in a calm state, continuing to lull you to sleep with the slow circular patterns against your back. He responds quietly, "well, no. I like your complaints and our mundane arguments. It reminds me that we don't have bigger problems to be fighting about. We have a good life together, we're lucky. I love the reminder that I'm not some stupid, single guy living alone now. I'm a husband, I'm your husband and this is our home. I love it."
"You’re such a sap at 1 in the morning," you whisper, your words slurred from sleep, "I love you though."
Jaemin feels his eyes getting heavy and can't fight the smile when he hears your breathing even out. You're fast asleep again and his heart soars, "I love you more, honey."

Fantasies | S.R.
this is smutty smutty smut smut so it's 18+, minors please dni
honestly this is just like a fantasy of mine inspired by how wildly hot this entire exchange is what can i say i'm a scifi girlie (gender neutral) and i figured it might make a good fic so here goes nothing
this is part 1 of 2
contains: unprotected sex (creampie), oral (f receiving), munch!spencer, softdom!spencer
“—but the reason the entire ritual was considered taboo wasn’t because Vulcans were supposed to be portrayed as prudish virgins, that’s all I’m saying,” (Y/N) ranted at JJ and Prentiss, gaining amused but shocked and confused stares from the two of them. When they had found out about her relationship with Spencer they might have been less than shocked but they had never seen her ramble like this in such a Reid-esque fashion.
Penelope Garcia, being ever the one to playfully tease her best friend decided to push the young agent’s buttons a little bit by playfully arguing back, “but then why all the secrecy around the ritual when it comes to other species knowing about it?” Which made (Y/N) roll her eyes in response and groan, and earning her glances from JJ and Prentiss that screamed why would you keep this going for longer?!
"Fucking Christ, Penny, you should know this, ugh—the ritual of Pon Farr is considered taboo because of the depth of emotions experienced by the Vulcans as they enter it, not because it has to do with sexual reproduction; Vulcans have sex outside of Pon Farr and we know this for a fact not only because Trip is literally told outright that Vulcans have sex by a Vulcan when he asked, but also because if Vulcans only ever copulated during Pon Farr, then Vulcan generations would always be seven years apart in age," her exasperation was nearly palpable as she ranted speedily, gaining good spirited laughter from Garcia while she her friend rage over something that they all knew in the end was fairly insignificant.
Spencer watched this entire exchange from his desk across the bullpen with a fond smile and a warm, floaty feeling blooming across his chest. That was when Garcia noticed him staring from his desk and moved to literally drag him into the discussion, deciding that everyone must join in the procrastination socialization. "What the—hey!" Spencer barely managed to steady himself and keep from falling out of the chair.
"I wanna know what our resident boy wonder has to contribute to the discussion," Penelope laughed in a singsong-y voice as she got him to the table they were all congregating at together and rolled him right up next to the chair on which (Y/N) was perched.
She looked over at him and shot him a small wave and a quiet, "hi, love." And he melted. Instantly.
Her smile was so sweet that Spencer could do nothing for a moment but respond with his own toothy, lovestruck grin. He was snapped back to reality by Garcia literally snapping in front of him and chiding (Y/N) as she said, “what have you done to this boy? Are you a freakin’ witch or something?” Spencer and (Y/N) both laughed and Garcia then continued, "so, Reid, do you agree with (Y/N)’s impassioned rant?"
"Oh! Right," Spencer shook his head, "no, she's 100% correct. The ritual of Pon Farr does not solely dictate when Vulcans have sexual relations. It is simply a period of heightened emotions and bonding for them." He looked at (Y/N) with another soft smile, proud that she had such a vast knowledge of Star Trek lore.
"See, Penny? Even the genius agrees with me," (Y/N) teased playfully, earning a chuckle from the team and a light blush from Spencer.
Garcia clapped her hands together excitedly, “Well then let's—”
“—I’m sorry to interrupt, but we have a case,” Garcia’s bubbly lilt was cut off by the stern tone of Agent Hotchner as he summoned them to the briefing room. Everyone broke apart at that, following their Unit Chief to the round table. As they all took their seats Spencer made sure to sit by (Y/N) so he could secretly slip her hand into his under the table to cling to some semblance of goodness as they were filled in on the next of the worst of humanity they had to face.
Spencer and (Y/N) laid together in his bed as they always did after particularly rough cases. He ran his finger gently up and down her barely clothed back when she uttered a soft, “hey I have this, like, sort of random question.”
“Oh? What would that be?” Spencer whispered into her hair, half asleep.
“Do you have any, like, fantasies you’d wanna—?” Spencer was confused by her question and the look on his face as she looked up at him told her as much, so she clarified, “like, sexually?"
Well, now he was up. In multiple ways. He reached over and turned on his lamp and stammered out, "uh—w-what—where did that come from?" Spencer's voice rose multiple octaves while his heart skipped a beat.
"Well I just—," she started before cutting herself off and making a face that said she was thinking about how exactly she wanted to explain her thought process. "There's something I've been thinking about for a couple weeks." Her cheeks tinged pink in the soft light of his desk lamp as she shyly looked up at him through her lashes in a way that made his pajama pants start to feel uncomfortably tight.
"Oh? What would that be?" Spencer found himself echoing his first question, unable to focus on anything that wasn't (Y/N) (or her nipples, which were peeking through her thin tank top).
"Do you, um, do you remember that conversation about Pon Farr Penny and I were having a little while back?" She whispered, seeming embarrassed to be bringing it up.
"I do," he confirmed, nodding while he finally moved his eyes from her chest to her face, "why do you ask?" He leaned down and began peppering her face with soft kisses, drawing a symphony of giggles from her, before moving from her cheeks down her chin and then to her neck.
Her giggles turned to soft moans and she tried her best to form a response, but as Spencer began sliding his hand up underneath the fabric she found herself struggling to think through the haze. She finally managed to mutter a soft, "I just—mmm—the conversation got me thinking that it might be fun to—fuck, Spencer—to kind of, like, roleplay sometime—holy shit, Spencer, please don’t stop!" His fingers had found their way to her nipples and while she spoke he began gently teasing and tormenting them.
As Spencer continued to explore the sensitive skin of (Y/N)'s chest, she couldn't help but let out another moan, causing Spencer to pause momentarily to look into her eyes. "Roleplay?" Spencer whispered hoarsely, his voice laced with both excitement and curiosity as his fingers continued their dance on her skin. "What did you have in mind?"
(Y/N) bit her lip nervously, her eyes darting around the room as if seeking inspiration. "Well," she began hesitantly, "I was thinking something along the lines of, uh, maybe a kind of Trek-themed scenario? Like, you could be a Vulcan, and I—I could be your mate?" She trailed off, her voice barely above a whisper as she watched Spencer's expression.
"And what would that involve, exactly?" he asked, his voice low and sultry, his fingers still gently stroking her nipples.
(Y/N) hesitated for a moment, her cheeks flushing a delicate shade of pink. "Well, it might involve—uh, well, you know, some intimate bonding rituals."
Spencer laughed softly, the sound warm and low in the dimly-lit room. "You want me to roleplay as a Vulcan during Pon Farr and engage in 'intimate bonding rituals' with you?" He teased, a playful grin spreading across his face. He wanted to respond by saying, marry me; instead, he settled for, "I can't say I've ever really thought about that before, but I'm willing to give it a try." He began trailing kisses from her neck down to her chest while he tugged on the hem of her shirt, pulling it off of her when she raised her arms above her head for him.
He started trailing kisses down her stomach, stopping when he reached the waistline of her pajama shorts and looking up at her through his eyelashes. He hooked his fingers into the waistband of her shorts and panties, and she lifted her hips instinctively so he could slide them down her legs. Spencer moved back up her body to kiss her softly on the lips before getting up off of the bed and standing at the edge, rotating (Y/N) 90° and gently pulling her until she was lined up at the edge of the bed before spreading her legs open and kneeling down in front of her slowly.
(Y/N) shuddered with anticipation at the feeling of his breath gently hitting her dripping center. When she looked down at him he was looking up at her, his amber eyes burning with lust and his pupils blown wide. He licked his lips before leaning in and kissing her burning core softly while running his tongue out to lap up some of the beautiful slickness that had accumulated with a soft moan. He tormented her with light teases from his tongue and her hips bucked up towards his mouth, making him use one of his hands to hold them down and look up at her with a stern expression that told her, 'hold still or I'll stop.'
She whimpered at the loss of his tongue, but it was only for a split second as she felt his index finger push up against her entrance. He teased the entrance by lightly moving up and down it, collecting her honey and bringing it up to his lips and licking it off before bringing his finger back. When he started slowly pushing his finger inside of her, he attached his lips to her clit and did a delightful thing with his tongue that made her nearly see white.
She reached down and tangled her fingers in his hair and gasped out a soft, "Spencer that feels so—oh god—so fucking good!" He slowly pumped his finger in and out of her, savoring the sensation of her soft walls around it. God, how he wanted to be inside of her right now. But there was no way he was going to be able to drag himself away from her pussy, not yet. He needed more. He slipped another finger into her and sucked on her clit, running his tongue around it in circles.
He kept this up and listened to her moans for guidance and encouragement, speeding his fingers up ever so slightly and feeling her body begin to tense up underneath him. Her moans began to increase in volume and frequency, her grip on his hair growing tighter as his fingertips ran across the spongy piece of flesh on the front wall of her pussy, earning a loud and desperate wail from (Y/N) as he felt her orgasm begin to take over her.
He moaned as he lapped up her juices and gave her pussy one last kiss before wiping his mouth and chin with his wrist and moving back up to kiss her desperately. He settled his clothed hips between her soaked legs and she ground her hips against his erection through his pants. He rocked his hips against her, finding a perfect rhythm. He moaned into her mouth before pulling back and standing up, untying the drawstring on his pants to pull them and his briefs down in one swift movement.
He took his place on top of her again and nestled his cock up against her. She reached down between their bodies and stroked his throbbing member before guiding it to her entrance. He wasted no time, pushing into her immediately and groaning in relief. For a brief second he could only think in images and single word fragments. 'Soft, wet, warm,' swirled around his mind in a whirlwind of lust and pleasure as he sank into her further, burying his cock fully inside of her.
"I, uh, I don't know how long I'm going to be able to, uh, last," Spencer admitted with a small, embarrassed laugh. (Y/N)'s only response was to roll her hips against his, drawing a surprised moan from his throat.
"I honestly don't care," she panted, "I just need you to fuck me." She looked at him with a gaze that drove him absolutely mad with lust. He pulled his hips back and began fucking her with slow but moderately hard thrusts, both of them moaning as they locked their lips together again. She met his thrusts with her own movements and brought her hands back up to tangle her fingers in his hair. She tugged at it gently and he moaned and started fucking her faster in response.
"Such a good girl for me, kitten," he purred into her ear. Each moan that fell from her lips pushed him closer and closer to the edge, until he was teetering at the point of no return. "You ready for me to fill you up, baby?" She moaned and nodded in response.
Her nails dug into his shoulders and he felt her pussy begin to flutter around his cock as her second orgasm took her by surprise and ripped through her body. Loud moans spilled from the both of them when Spencer felt himself tip over the edge and stilled with one final thrust inside of her. His cock pulsed as it pumped all of his cum into her.
Once he had pulled out of her he went into the bathroom and cleaned himself off. He grabbed a washcloth and ran it under the warm water before walking back out. He knelt in front of (Y/N) and began to gently clean her up. When he was finished he planted a sweet kiss on one of her thighs before tossing the rag into the laundry basket. He crawled back into bed next to her and laid down on his back.
"You're too far away," he pouted at (Y/N) and held his arms out. She moved up and settled happily within them, resting her head on his chest and nuzzling gently. He began playing with her hair and sighed happily before muttering a soft, "I love you, (Y/N)."
"Love you, too, Spence," she mumbled, already half asleep.

Going over the izzy/lucius/shark exchange is so interesting in the context of this being an episode about apologies. About making concessions and trying to fix things.
(In this ep there's a lot about ed making amends/accommodating the crew's triggers and trauma. It's also about stede having to fix things when he upsets the superstitious crew by not treating their feelings as valid.)
At the start we have Ed's (probably well intentioned) but evasive, non-apology. He does an 'I'm sorry you feel that way' sort of apology about 'whatever that bad stuff was'. It's a wish to do better, but it doesn't really cover what went before. A lot of people interject here, but Izzy remains completely still and silent, off to one side.
Lucius says he never used the word 'sorry' and rightly calls this out. Roach however, says he's never heard an apology before - and liked it - so this seems like as much as it's a first for Ed to take even some accountability, it's probably the first time some of the crew have seen a captain (or anyone else) do this too.
Archie says 'They just get away with it and we move on'.
Lucius rounds on Izzy, because obviously Izzy should have the biggest grievance here. But Izzy responds to the question about Ed's apology as if it was about piracy in general - clearly showing that the cycle of abuse is a feature, not a bug. This is part of his life and identity as a pirate. This is, actually, things going back to normal. You get whipped (and we see these scars on him later) no one apologises, and you just reset to how it was before, pretending nothing has been altered until it all bubbles over again.
Ed then tells stede that he's never apologised for anything. Confirming that most of the crew's responses are in line with their past experiences.
Then Ed goes to fix the door and tells it that it's not its fault that it's broken, it was just doing it's job. This directly parallels Izzy's rant to the figurehead about it failing to do it's job. Ed could be talking about himself here, as Izzy was talking about himself - but to me it doesn't fit that well, because what 'job' was Ed trying to do? He could instead be acknowledging, indirectly, that he is aware that Izzy was doing his job - trying to make sure they all survived and functioned as a crew. Ed probably broke that door, and he broke Izzy. But he has yet to talk to him about it.
Immediately following this, is when he scares the BEJESUS out of Lucius and tells him 'it would be faster to get all this out in one go'. It sounds like a reasonable suggestion, but we know that it doesn't actually work. Lucius pushes him off the boat and it doesn't help. Because 'I hurt you, so now you hurt me' doesn't benefit the abused, it's still about making the abuser feel better - making them feel punished and therefore redeemed, even when their victim isn't healed. I don't think Ed is trying to manipulate Lucius here - both of them think it might help to 'fix things' but fixing things takes emotional intelligence that's not really developed yet.
ENTER, THE SHARK
Izzy starts working on the shark, after the non-apology. He doesn't have it in the 'candle fighting' scene obvs - but he does receive an apology in that scene, when stede says 'feet' and then corrects himself to foot. It's a simple straightforward apology, even if he does sort of laugh awkwardly. Izzy also at least attempted to apologise to Stede in ep. 3 - so he clearly sees the use in apologies - AND right after the apology, Izzy agrees to help stede. Their relationship changes. It gets better and they're no longer stuck in those old patterns. Izzy is full-on gentle parenting stede - even when he shoots down a fucking sail.
He also, notably, states that the crew's feelings on the curse are important. Meaning, how the crew feels is important to him, period.
After this, we're back to Lucius throwing Ed overboard. But it doesn't work because Ed doesn't remember the talent show thing, he doesn't really know why Lucius was so blindsided by that betrayal of trust. It's not about who goes overboard. It's about the dynamics underneath that and those can't be fixed by just trading places for a moment.
FINALLY. We see Izzy finishing the shark, and he's completely unsurprised that Lucius pushing Ed into the water didn't fix things. Izzy's done this 'tit for tat' thing - betraying Ed to the English over being banished - and it ended terribly for both of them. It escalated things. He knows it's not as simply as getting even with someone.
The solution Izzy has chosen to the cycle of his relationship with Ed is to pretend that Ed hasn't done anything to him. A shark did it. Like with the non-apology, blame is being shifted to a third party 'the bad things' the 'bad times'. Lucius (rightly) points out that this is not healthy, but Izzy's response, that's better than not moving on, clearly resonates.
Izzy's response to being hurt was to 1. Get even and 2. (when that proved deeply unsatisfying and made things worse) to put the unresolved conflict behind him. Because he doesn't think Ed is ever going to apologise or change, and wanting those things just hurt more.
Anyone who has parents/a partner/friend who's NEVER apologised for anything, knows how he's feeling. You stop trying to have it out and fix the relationship, and it starts to wither, even though the other person thinks it's healthy.
'Not moving on is worse' is a warning, and it's one that Lucius takes to heart, immediately trying to centre positive things instead of resentment and anger. He shares his feelings with Pete, and their relationship thrives.
The issue here, is that denial doesn't work. Lucius might be able to move on from what happened to him without a proper apology from Ed, but that's because he's not in a relationship with him. Izzy's the one who's really in it with Ed - he's had DECADES of this shit. That can't be willed away.
Stede's resolution to the curse conflict models a healthier method and one that I'm hoping we see in a future episode between Ed/Izzy. He validates the crew's feelings, make a sacrifice (the suit) and TOGETHER they collaborate on a solution to the issue that is mutually satisfactory - he even gets to keep the shirt, as a sort of compromise. It isn't about just making stede or the crew feel better, it's about moving on together.
This happens with Ed and Fang! Ed actually apologises once he realises what, specifically he did wrong. Fang says they're 'sweet' because he beat Ed to death (oof) which outwardly seems like retaliation working - but there has also been an actual apology and Fang wasn't retaliating against Ed, he was standing up for himself - a physical version of saying 'that wasn't OK - you need to change'.
This method of resolution is echoed in the final scene, with stede and ed. They reach an understanding about the pace of their relationship and find a happy medium (holding hands) - mutually satisfied and moving forwards.
Bottom line? I hope we see 1. Ed actually apologise to Izzy and 2. the pair of them outline what it is they want to change in their relationship moving forward, ending the cycle for good.
Thank you for coming to my Ed talk.

Male Naga/Female Reader SFW Wordcount: 2,940 Commissions | Ko-fi | Masterlist
You get a text from a wrong number, and it sounds like they need a shoulder to cry on. Except, you keep texting, and eventually Teng asks you to meet.
Elodie sat in her cosy cottage, the fire crackling softly in the hearth. The countryside around her was quiet, a serene backdrop to her evening routine. She sipped her tea, enjoying the warmth that spread through her. The room was bathed in a soft, amber glow from the table lamp beside her. She glanced at her phone, idly scrolling through social media when a notification popped up—a text from an unknown number.
Hey, it's Teng. I got your new number from Jenna. I really need someone to talk to. You free?
Elodie frowned, curiosity piqued. She didn’t know anyone named Teng, and certainly hadn’t given her number to anyone recently; but the message was so earnest, so heartfelt. She hesitated for a moment before typing a response.
I think you might have the wrong number, but I’m here to listen if you need to talk.
Almost immediately, her phone buzzed again. Oh, I’m sorry! I thought this was my friend’s new number.
Elodie could have left it at that. It was already late, the guy had no idea who she was, but… well, curiosity had always been her weakness.
She sent another quick message asking if he needed to talk, not expecting him to answer. After all, who wanted to vent to a stranger?
To her surprise, though, he came back with yes, please.
Elodie’s heart softened. She knew all too well what it felt like to be isolated. Living in the countryside had its perks, but it also meant long stretches of solitude.
It’s no problem at all. I’m Elodie. What’s going on, Teng?
There was a brief pause before the next message came through. Thanks, Elodie. I guess it’s just difficult to talk about this stuff with people I know. They’d deny it, but I don’t think my friends really get me.
Elodie replied quickly, her fingers flying over the keys. I get that. Sometimes it feels like no one really sees you, you know? If you need to rant, rant away.
Teng's reply was swift and candid. I’m not stupid, I know I don’t exactly fit in. At work, it's even worse. I'm always the odd one out, and it’s exhausting trying to fit in.
Elodie frowned, her heart aching for him. What do you do for work?
I'm a software developer,Teng responded. It’s a job that allows me to hide behind a screen most of the time, but meetings and social events are a nightmare. Everyone is so... human.
Oh. Her heart did a little flutter. So, he wasn’t human?
Elodie paused, contemplating her next move. Would you like to call me? Sometimes it helps to talk things out loud.
There was a longer pause this time. She waited, watching the little dots on her screen that indicated Teng was typing. Finally, the message came through. I’d like that.
Elodie took a deep breath, then dialed his number. It rang only once before Teng picked up. "Hello?" His voice was thick and raspy, with a lilting Chinese accent; it sent a shiver down her spine.
"Hi Teng, it’s Elodie," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. "It’s nice to talk to you."
"Nice to talk to you too, Elodie," Teng replied, his voice softening. "Thank you for listening to me. I really needed this."
"Of course," Elodie said warmly. "So, tell me whatever you want to. Get it off your chest."
Teng sighed, and she could almost see him running a hand through his hair. "It's challenging, but I enjoy my work. The problem is the people. They always seem to be staring, judging. It’s hard not to feel self-conscious."
Elodie’s curiosity got the better of her. "Why do you think they judge you?"
There was a brief silence before Teng spoke again, his voice tinged with nervousness. "Elodie, I need to tell you something important about myself.”
She rose a brow even though he couldn’t see it, waiting silently.
“I’m a naga."
Elodie’s breath caught in her throat. She had heard of nagas, of course she had, but she’d never met one before. As far as she knew, they didn’t get along with many other people.
"That… explains some stuff," she said carefully. "Is that why you feel so isolated?"
"Yes," Teng admitted, his voice heavy. "My people usually prefer seclusion, away from the hustle and bustle of city life; but I wanted to try living in the modern world. It’s been... difficult."
Elodie’s heart ached for him. "I can only imagine how hard that must be.”
"Thank you for understanding," Teng replied, his voice softening. "Most people don’t. I moved to Oceanhall a year ago for work, but I haven’t made any friends."
Elodie felt a surge of empathy. Oceanhall wasn’t too far from her. "Hey, I get you,” she said softly. “I live in the middle of nowhere, a real countryside cottage; I’ve not exactly been making a lot of friends lately either. Maybe we could both use a friend."
"I Iknow I could," Teng said. "You have no idea how much this means to me."
They continued talking for a long time, after that. The hours ticked by without Elodie even noticing; she was so absorbed in Teng’s beautiful voice, in everything he had to say.
Despite his struggles, it was pretty clear that Teng was handling it the best he could. He told her about his attempts to fit in at office parties, the difficulties of having a six foot tail in the cramped city spaces. And, of course, his strict dietary restrictions.
"People don't get why I don't eat like them," Teng said with a chuckle. "Humans, orcs, goblins; they might have different preferences and allergies, but it all boils down to the same thing. Three meals a day, veggies carbs and all that… but us nagas are pretty much exclusively carnivores.”
“Huh. I didn’t know that.”
“Yeah. There’s one vegan at work who really doesn’t appreciate it.”
Elodie smiled, feeling a growing affection for him. "You sound like you’ve been handling it well, all things considered. It must take a lot of strength."
"It does," Teng admitted. "I didn’t realise how much better I’d feel just by talking about it, though."
Elodie’s heart swelled with warmth. "Hey, I’m glad I could help."
There was a brief pause on the line before Teng spoke again, his voice filled with an almost shy hesitation. "I just realised the time. I’m so sorry for keeping you up this late."
Elodie glanced at the clock and saw that it was indeed late, but she smiled to herself. "It’s fine, really. I’ve enjoyed every minute of our conversation."
Teng’s voice softened. "I’ve enjoyed it too. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt comfortable talking to someone."
Elodie’s heart fluttered at his words. She could hear the sincerity in his voice, and it made hersmile even broader. She was about to say something when Teng’s voice came through the line again, this time with a touch of nervousness.
"Elodie, I was wondering... I know it’s a bit of a distance, but would you maybe like to meet up sometime? We could meet halfway. I’d love to take you out to dinner as a thank you for tonight."
Elodie felt a rush of excitement at his suggestion. She had grown so fond of Teng already, and the idea of meeting him in person made her heart stutter.
"I’d love that, Teng," she said, her voice filled with genuine enthusiasm. "Dinner sounds wonderful. Let’s plan it."
There was a palpable sense of relief in Teng’s voice when he replied. "Really? That’s great. How about this weekend? I can find a nice place for us to meet."
Elodie smiled, her heart racing with anticipation. "This weekend works perfectly. I’m really looking forward to it."
"Me too," Teng said, and she could hear the smile in his voice. "I’ll figure something out. Thanks for humouring me.”
Elodie wasn’t sure how to tell him she wasn’t humouring him at all. If anything, she wanted this even more than he did. Instead of saying so, though, she simply said,”I can’t wait."
They said their goodnights, andn Elodie hung up the phone. She sat back, her mind buzzing with thoughts of Teng.
As she got ready for bed an hour later, Elodie found herself thinking of Teng’s laugh, the way his voice had that soothing, raspy quality to it, and the thoughtfulness in his words. She was excited about the prospect of meeting him, and the anticipation of their dinner date filled her with a sense of joy she hadn’t felt in a long time.
Climbing into bed, Elodie turned off the lamp and settled under the covers. She closed her eyes, a smile playing on her lips as she replayed their conversation in her mind. There was something special about Teng, something she couldn’t quite place.
***
Elodie arrived at the little cafe Teng reccomended, her heart pounding against her ribs. The gentle hum of conversation and the clinking of cutlery created a comforting atmosphere, but her mind was racing. She checked her watch and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She had been looking forward to this moment ever since she and Teng had agreed to meet. Now that the time had come, she felt a swirl of nerves.
She chose a table near the window, the warm glow of the café’s lights reflecting off the polished wooden surfaces. The cafe was charming, with an eclectic mix of patrons. She noticed a couple of orcs sharing a hearty meal in one corner and a small group of elves enjoying delicate pastries in another. It was a place that welcomed everyone, no matter their background or dietary needs.
Just then, she heard a soft rustling at the entrance. Turning, she saw him. Teng was more striking than she had imagined. He had a striking face; high cheekbones and full, plush lips. His eyes were a deep, warm shade of brown, looking about the cafe cautiously.
He was gorgeous, no doubt, buy it was his lower body that truly set him apart. Where his waist should have been, his body transitioned into a long, sleek serpent’s tail, covered in iridescent golden scales that shimmered under the café's lights.
For a moment, Elodie was taken aback. She had known Teng was a naga, but seeing him in person was a different experience entirely. Her initial surprise quickly gave way to a sense of awe. Despite his inhuman features, there was an undeniable beauty about him, and she felt drawn to him in a way she hadn’t expected.
Teng approached slowly. “Elodie?” he asked softly, his voice thick and raspy. His accent seemed thicker in person, with a slight lisp.
She nodded, managing a smile. “Hi Teng. It’s really nice to meet you.”
His eyes softened with relief. “You too.”
They stood there for a moment, taking each other in. Elodie could see the nervousness in Teng’s eyes, and she felt a wave of empathy wash over her. She stepped forward and gestured to the table. “Shall we sit?”
Teng nodded, and they made their way to the table by the window. As they settled down, Elodie couldn’t help but glance at Teng’s tail, which coiled gracefully beneath the table. The scales glinted under the warm café lights, creating a mesmerizing pattern.
“This place is wonderful,” she said, breaking the silence. “Thank you for suggesting it.”
He smiled, showing sharp teeth. “I’m glad you like it. I thought it would be a good spot for us, considering they cater to all kinds of people.”
Teng’s eyes met hers, and she could see a flicker of appreciation at her easy acceptance.
They perused the menu together, chatting easily about their options. The café offered a diverse array of dishes, from hearty stews and fresh salads to more exotic offerings tailored to different species’ needs. Elodie noticed Teng’s eyes light up when he found a section dedicated to naga cuisine.
“What are you thinking of ordering?” Elodie asked, curious.
Teng smiled, a hint of excitement in his eyes. “They have a dish here that I haven’t had in years. Fresh, raw fish and local herbs.”
“Kind of like sashimi?”
“Yeah, exactly!”
Elodie nodded. “That sounds amazing. Maybe I’ll give it a try too.”
“You don’t have to,” Teng said, and he seemed to wilt in front of her. “It’s an acquired taste, don’t force yourself.”
Her heart ached for him. Without thinking, she reached across the table and took his hand in hers. His skin was cool to the touch, dotted with beautiful gold and amber scales. His fingers curled around hers, and so Elodie gave him a light squeeze.
“I know we don’t know each other well,” she admitted. “You seem like a really good guy. I’m not forcing myself to try your food, or whatever else you’re thinking. I want to be here.”
“I’ve always felt like an outsider,” Teng admitted. “People see me and believe a whole host of things that aren’t true. I guess it’s difficult not to assume the worst.”
Elodie reached out and placed her hand on his, her touch gentle and reassuring. “I can’t imagine how tough that must be. For what it’s worth, I think you’re pretty great.”
They lapsed into a comfortable quiet, Elodie watching Teng from the corner of her eyes. He really was handsome, all dark hair and shining eyes.
When the food arrived, Elodie’s eyes widened at the sight of the meal. The dish was beautifully presented, with fresh fish slices arranged artfully over a bed of herbs. It looked almost too beautiful to eat, but the raw aspect was slightly intimidating. It wasn’t like sashimi at all.
“I have to admit,” Elodie said, glancing at Teng with a nervous smile, “this wasn’t quite what I expected. I’m a little intimidated.”
Teng chuckled softly. “Don’t worry. I’ll show you how it’s done.” He picked up a piece of fish and dipped it into what looked like a lemon sauce, then ate the piece whole.
Following his lead, Elodie picked up a piece of fish, imitating Teng’s movements. She dipped it into the sauce and took a tentative bite. The flavour exploded in her mouth; fresh and citrus, with a hint of sweetness
“Wow,” she said, her eyes widening. “This is really good!”
Teng smiled, clearly pleased. “I’m glad you like it. It’s one of my favourites.”
Elodie took another bite, enjoying the silky-soft texture of the fish. “So, what other foods do you enjoy?” she asked.
“I eat a lot of meat,” Teng explained, picking up another piece of fish. “Mostly raw. There’s one dish my mum used to make; raw tuna and watermelon salad.”
She had to admit, that was difficult to imagine. “I love trying new foods,” she said. “This is definitely new, but I’m really enjoying it.”
When he grinned, she glimpsed those sharp fangs again. It made her stomach flip and oh, she wanted to know what it felt like to kiss him.
Wait, where had that come from?
“Nagas have a drink called vargash,” Teng said, snapping Elodie from her thoughts. “It’s a fermented drink kind of like a sweet beer. It’s a shame they don’t sell it here, it goes well with fish.”
Elodie leaned forward, trying not to look at him for too long. Could he tell that she was thinking of him like this? She distracted herself by saying, “I’d love to try it sometime.”
Teng smiled. “Maybe next time we meet, I can bring some for you to try.”
Elodie felt a warm flutter in her chest at the thought of another meeting. “I’d like that.”
As they finished their meal, the underlying thrum between them became almost unbearable. Every glance, every touch seemed charged with a subtle electricity that made Elodie’s heart race.
When the server cleared their plates and brought the bill, Teng turned to Elodie with a gentle smile. “Would you like me to walk you to your car?”
Elodie’s heart skipped a beat at the thought of spending a little more time with him. “I’d like that very much.”
They stood up and made their way out of the café, the cool evening air a pleasant contrast to the warmth inside.
When they reached her car, Teng hesitated for a moment before turning to face her. “Elodie, I’ve really enjoyed tonight. Could we do this again?”
Elodie’s stomach flipped as she blurted, “yeah, I’d love to.”
Teng took a step closer, his voice soft. “Can I kiss you goodnight?”
Elodie’s heart fluttered, and she nodded. “Absolutely”
Teng leaned in slowly, his eyes never leaving hers. When their lips met, Elodie felt a surge of warmth and affection. His lips were cool and soft against hers, his fangs pressing lightly into her lower lip. He tasted of fresh herbs and lemon.
When they finally pulled away, Elodie’s heart was thudding so fast, she swore he could hear it too.
“I’ll see you again?” she asked softly.
“Of course. Same time next week?”
Elodie didn’t know how she could wait an entire week to see him again, but she nodded anyway.
They exchanged a lingering look before saying their goodnights. He kissed her again, one arm snaking around her waist to pull her close. His tail got in the way, but he curled it around her feet and Elodie shivered in delight.
“Goodnight,” Teng said quietly. “Get home safe.”
“Goodnight.”
Elodie watched as Teng disappeared into the night, her heart full and her mind buzzing with thoughts of him. Next week couldn’t come quickly enough.

Phantom theif boys x GN! Reader
Dating headcannons!
N: Adding comfort headcannons to knock two asks in one stone, they got changed to just comforting headcannons mostly. Ur not escaping pastel*pallette with this.
He's ready to fully wake up as soon as he hears your voice downstairs or just your footsteps. Morgana is not a fan of suddenly feeling his leg pulled out of bed.
Super ready to tease you. The guys smiling hard before he responds with something stupid. "I dare you" trying to hold off his chucking, he places his hand ontop of yours and spins you, stopping when you face him. "Are you a cheeseburger?" "no"
Let's you brush his hair, in fact you should. Curls are hard, ya know. His wrist can use a break, plus you're the one brushing it he sees it as a win. Ignoring the times you decided to give him pigtails
He can be super romantic at times, especially the most random, "I'm sorry I took so long, your beauty distracted me" he smirked twiddling a bit of his hair, you sigh, after a pause beginning to chuckle "I don't like you" "you love me" kissing your cheek he goes behind the counter "anything you wanna eat?"
He's always gonna be there to comfort you. Holding you close as you cry into his chest over something that had been bothering you, hearing you out while he cooks or staying by your side while you rant. "And then she was like," Oh well you need to go to extra help TO HELL WITH THAT!" You rub your temple "sorry she's just been getting on my nerves" "have you tried dropping or switching classes?" "She would reject the request everytime" you'd wonder why she suddenly accepted the following day. Maybe she finally thought you were just bad at chemistry
Will tell you he's a phantom theif trying to rizz you up. "So like we use these things called personas to fight these shadows" "woah, that's cool, Ryuji." You didn't believe him, but you let him cook, he's trying his best
Embodiment of the YIPPE sound. He loves seeing you. Could be walking to class, and he'd stop midway. "Yo!" "Hey Ryuji" great now he's gonna repeat that 3 more times a day, won't even start a conversation, sometimes, just likes hearing you say hi to him
He's super cuddly when sleepy. "Where are you going" "I told you I'm going home" "nooo" he wraps his arms around your waist "you aren't allowed to leave" trying to slip out he tightens his grip. You had to call your parents to tell them you had no choice but to stay longer
He'd get so excited when anything sport related comes along. "I wanna watch the track team compete this weekend. You should come" "do you need me to bring snacks?" "You bring them every time, though! I'll bring them this time" He'd get super hyped up about someone from the school taking the lead he almost fell off the bleachers at times.
He would buy you snacks, and you two would talk about it on a bench. "He's so annoyingggg" "I know, right!" "Like he can't shut up everything's quiet and this mf 'I HAVE A BUISNESS' shut up" "like at the end of the day he's still an incel" "EXACTLY" you two would end up ranting with eatchother so much you end up calming eatchother down, this would also translate into you just being too sad to even make funny comments. "He's just so draining, kinda makes me wish someone just told him to be quiet" "for real I almost cried at his voice" "it's too squeaky right" "totally" laying your head on his lap you look up at him just thinking. "You're staring into my soul here." he strokes your hair with a nervous expression "good" In the end, he still comforts you the same way
"Oh, it's you" turned to "it's you.." REAL quick, as soon as you started dating, he got shy
He's gonna ask you to help him with art. "Y/n do you mind posing?" "With what?" "These live lobsters I found" ".... no thank you" "but!" "I'm gonna buy you those little wooden dolls just for that" "you're better than any piece of wood!" It turns more into a praise sesson he forgets about the lobsters he's basically keeping as pets at this point
You tried to teach him how to cook, or atlesst follow the recipe. "OK so we have the custard" you grab his hand, holding it up. "Don't use that we need it for later." "My Appologies" "it's alright it's your first time making this" He's fine the first time but gets way better with practice. He'd make you jealous with how nice he'd make his food look
Tried pick up lines they were good, but the execution could use work. "Y/n! Do you have a map? " "For what?" He pauses, looking down as if thinking for the next line "because i can't help but get lost in your eyes" you smirk, watching him get more bashful than you from his own line. "Are you a painting?" You cup his face making him look at you "because I can't take my eyes off you"
He isn't very good in this field...but he has spirit! You'd sigh while watching him paint after a few eye rolls, vacant stares, leaning on him. He's gonna sense it even if you don't do all that. "Is there something on your mind?" You look down to his paints before answering "a friend of mine moved away, and I found out recently she used to steal stuff from others" crossing your arms you continue "I kinda get why some of my stuff went missing now but just to think" "that does seem rather unfortunate" "she's lucky the stuff she took was all under 10 bucks or I would have asked the phantom theives to do something" he pauses his brush for a secound before continuing on "via the website?" "Yea! They'll probably handle her if it genuinely gets outta hand" he smiles as he puts down his paint and brush. "How about we go for a walk for you to let out some steam?" "sounds great"
"I'm alone. Would you like to join me?" "Do you realize how that sounds?" "Do you realize how dirty your mind is?"
He'll be resistant to cuddling at first but then slowly realize he likes it. Won't ask for it tho but he will be a little peeved when they aren't given. Subconsciously learn the way he stares at your arms, how he grips his own, and the way he tries to get a bit closer to you, you've learned the secrets to a touch starved akechi
Would be a bit annoyed when you bring up another dude. "And then Ryuji was shaking the vending machine and the guard thought we were trying to steal snacks" "I see" "I ended up getting em though" "mhm" "you're so aggressively disinterested" "yes I am" You pause before letting the smirk take over your face "so then akechi rubbed my face and asked for a kiss" "I should" he stops typing to press his lips softly on your cheek.
He'd take you everywhere with him. Not a choice, it's only when he's at his job that he's away from you, everywhere else? Same class right next to you. Eating lunch with you, would ask you to play darts with him after school. He'd wonder why you'd look so tired when you two finally got home after school, atleast he helps with homework.
"Akechi" you move hair from his face. "What is it?" You continue touching his face as he watches as your hands move around his face. "Is there something on your mind" "is it that obvious" you pull your hand away, but he takes his into yours. There's a short pause before you decide to speak again. "A person close to me stopped coming to school after an argument we had. I'm pretty worried" "you didn't try contacting them?" "I have, but I think they'll just get more annoyed" you sigh "I just don't know what to do" "let them have their momment they'll contact you when they feel like it, in the meantime" he covers you in the blanket he shared with you momments ago "you could stay here until it leaves your mind"
"So what is skibbity toilet?" "Zen no"
He'd always order for you at places, unless you changed your order he'd get you everytime. "You gotta stop doing that" "Why you jealous I know you better than you know yourself?" "Yes"
He tries to ask you for advice on Akane. "She got upset she couldn't play and eat" "did you try making it a tea party" he scoffs, giggling a bit at the suggestion. "I'm serious. Do you have any tiny tea cups?"
He's definitely touch starved when he gets home. Barely awake, he'd cling onto you, mumbling into your ear. He's fallen asleep for a few seconds on your shoulder. "Let's get you to bed, Zen." "it's comfortable here though." "it'll be more comfortable in bed." "ugghhhhh"
He's gentle when it comes to you, especially when you get home more upset than usual. "So how was work" in a slightly annoyed tone you respond "draining they tried to give me unpaid overtime again" you sigh "hmm" without much words he lays down with you hugging you "do you want anything?" "Sleep" he smiles fondly "this house will be so quiet it's like it was haunted" The next day, do expect most of your chores to be done already, as well as breakfast. It was made with love, not with skill

Can you please write a wrio reader fic where reader is just absolutely exhausted from a long day of work? like right when they walk in the door eyes are heavy, zombie, practically ready to pass out from exhaustion, sore back, just wants to cry to be honest. even more since they hate their job.
Damn, I feel this with my job. And if I had wrio to come home to, I'd die a happy woman. I hope Wrio doesnt seem oc in this. This is just what I think he'd be like as a comforting boyfriend cuz he is the best boyfriend. I also hope this isn't cringy. Ngl, I sorta got a bit teary eyed writing this cuz it made me think about how stressed I get from my own job and college classes and I would love to have Wrio comfort me when I come home ;-;
~warnings: comfort, a bit of angst, mentions of crying, Wrio calls reader 'dear, love', gn!reader.
~
The door of Wriothesley's office creaks open and slams shut. Slow, heavy footsteps tread up the stairs. Turning his head towards the stairs, he sees you. He notices the exhausted look on your face, too tired to even bother greeting him. He can tell from that that you had a bad day. You trudge over to the couch in his office, drop your items on the floor and fall on the cushions below, face first. He stifles a chuckle from watching your adorable actions.
He quietly scoots his chair back and walks over to the couch to check up on you. Taking a seat on the table in front of the couch, he places a hand on the back of your head, stroking your hair to comfort you. "Bad day?" You don't even have the energy to answer. All you can do is slightly nod your head. He continues to stroke your hair, knowing that's one of your favorite ways to feel better. "Want to talk about it?"
You take a second to respond, debating whether or not you really want to talk about it. It'll just be the same old rant about how you hate your job, how customers suck, how your back hurts, and all those negative things in your life. You feel guilty for always complaining your boyfriend's ear off, thinking he probably gets tired of it. Not wanting to burden him anymore, you shake your head no. "You sure? I'm always happy to listen to your worries and problems." He says as his hand moves down to rub your back in comfort.
His kind nature makes your heart skip a beat, so grateful to have someone like him in your life. Although, it makes you happy, you just want to cry. The stress from work and your worries of being a bad s/o to your wonderful boyfriend is what causes you to just break down and cry. You quietly cry but he can feel your body slighty shake. "What's wrong my love?" You don't reply. All you do is shake your head and cry.
"Come here." He gently grabs a hold of you, urging you to get up and sit on his lap so he can hold you. He effortlessly picks you up and has you straddle his lap. He holds your head to his chest, rubbing your back as he tries to shush you. "Shh, it's okay. Let it out if you need to." His shirt gets soaked from your tears, but he doesn't care. He just wants you to feel better and if letting you cry into his shirt helps you, then he'd let you ruin all of his shirts.
After a while, you begin to calm down, the sound of your sniffles and cries decreasing. "Did that help?" You nod your head while still keeping your face in his chest. "Sorry Wrio." He cups your face and moves it away from his chest so he can see your face. "You have nothing to apologize for. I'm always here for you." He says as he looks deeply into your eyes, thumb stroking your cheek. You give him a small smile which he returns with his own gentle smile.
"So. Is there anyone I need to 'talk' to?" You recognize his implication and chuckle a bit. "No, just a stressful day. Just being here with you as you hold me is good enough for me." You lean your forehead against his and give him a eskimo kiss. "I'm glad. Now, how about I make you some tea?"
"In a bit. I just want you to keep holding me and stay like this for a while longer. Please."
"Of course my love." He gives you a short, sweet kiss on your lips. You nuzzle your face into the crook of his neck, getting comfortable on his lap. His arms wrap around you, holding you tight and leaves a kiss on your head. "Um Wrio." He hums in response, acknowledging you. "Can you..stroke my hair again, please?" You ask shyly, blush covering your cheeks. He chuckles. "Of course my dear."
Keeping one arm wrapped tightly around your waist, he brings the other one up to your hair, stroking and combing his fingers through the soft strands. "Thank you Wrio." You say into his neck, leaving a little kiss on his skin. "I love you."
"Anything for you. I love you too. Rest now. I'll make you tea when you wake up." You smile, grateful to have a wonderful, loving boyfriend. Your eyes close as you get sleepy from his comforting touches. You soon fall asleep.

Homesick (2)
A/N: This one is a bit longer despite it honestly being filler but yk I gotta keep the grind up guys 🙏 oh yeah, don't mind the obligatory fanfic bestie, she isn't gonna have that big a role after this don't worry guys, big peepaw robot will only be on the mind soon lolz
Oh yeah and I added some dialogue from the book in here bc it's easier to translate that then movie dialogue so I'm gonna switch between the both of those, just an FYI!
It’s been about a week or so since you arrived in L.A.. Like Sam boasted about, he managed to get a car, a yellow camero to be exact. It was amusing how much he rubbed it in your face as if you didn’t get a car when you were literally his age. But you weren’t that bothered by his sudden load of cockiness and was just happy he managed to get some independence for himself.
Today, Felicity wanted to meet up with you and catch up over some dinner and maybe a shopping spree at the mall. She had been talking about it all week but couldn’t see you until now since she hasn’t found a good time to take off from work. You went through your suitcase and found a few cute clothing items that screamed casual but also girls night (more like day) out. As you picked up your purse and made sure all of your essentials were inside, you made your way out of your bedroom and down the stairs. A small chuckle left your lips when you heard your parents muffled voices bickering outside. They were working on the yard for the past few hours and your mom would constantly harp on what your dad did wrong. It was a little funny honestly.
Suddenly, you felt someone walk past you and a muffled sorry escaped their lips. You glanced over in confusion and saw Sam go into the garage. You snorted and decided to follow him, out of pure curiosity. As you walk into the garage and lean on the door frame, Sam scrambled to find his keys. “Hey Sam, what’s goin’ on?”
Sam glances over, his demeanor dropping a bit in annoyance. “I’m uh, going to this lake party. Miles is gonna come with me so y’know…”
“Wait, you got invited to an actual party?” You responded with a twinge of surprise in your voice. “No offense.”
“I mean not… officially. It’s a public place, anyone can go to the lake.” Sam said, making his way past you and towards one of the back doors. “And why are you so done up? You don’t usually wear clothes that nice.”
“Wh— Okay I’m going to ignore that you just said that. Anyways, Felicity is gonna pick me up in a few because she wanted to catch up since we haven’t seen each other in like forever.” You say as you adjust the purse hanging on your shoulder. As the name ‘Felicity’ leaves your mouth, Sam groans over dramatically and turns towards you. “You’re seriously still friends with that girl?”
“Duh! She’s my best friend Sam.”
“Yeah, more like she’s the best at being annoying. She would literally come here every single day after school and you two would talk about whatever girl problems you two had and by the way, I heard everything. The walls are very thin in this house.” Sam opened up the door and began to walk out. “I have no idea how mom and dad even tolerated it because I didn’t! You guys didn’t even listen to me when I complained.” He rants irritably, making his way towards the driveway.
“But she had a troubled home life! I was the only one there for her. And she hasn’t spent the night here since I was in high-school. That was, what, five years ago?” You explained as you followed close behind him. Both of you managed to step onto your father’s, Ron’s, lawn. “You two, I do not like footprints on my grass. Please step onto the very nice path I ever so carefully laid down.”
“Oh, sorry dad.” You mumbled and retraced your steps. You could practically hear Sam’s eye role as he begrudgingly did the same. “Mom, seriously, could you stop putting jewelry on Mojo? He’s got enough self-esteem issues as a Chihuahua without you pimping him every day.”
Judy frowned at her son. “You know I don’t like for you to use that term,” She scolded.
“Maybe you should put him back in the dryer, hon.” Ron said playfully.
You glanced towards your mother with a confused expression. “Wait, that’s how Mojo broke his leg? Mom, you told me he jumped off the counter and fell weird.”
“I– I was ashamed, it’s embarrassing. And It was an accident, Ron! I didn’t know he fell asleep in the laundry basket. You know how hard he is to see sometimes.” Judy reached down and picked up the small dog, cuddling him close to her chest despite Mojo’s frantic means to escape her grasp. “How’s your little leggy-weggy, huh, tough guy?” She cooed.
Hearing a small buzz come from your phone, you grab it from your pocket and see a message from Felicity.
‘I’m here nerd :P GET UR ASS OUT HERE!!’
“Oh uh, Felicity’s here. I’ll see you guys later. And have fun at your lake party, SAM.” You walk back into the house and hear a cut off ‘shut up’ as you close the door behind you. From the windows at the front of the house, you see that familiar white convertible parked in front of the house and excitedly open the front door, locking it behind you.
“Hey you! Long time no see.” Felicity said, resting her sunglasses on top of her head. You walk towards the car and open the door to sit inside. “Yeah, it’s certainly been awhile.” You lean over and give Felicity a hug, cringing slightly at the amount of perfume she’s wearing.
“So how are you? How’s your job?” Pulling away, she starts the car and drives down the neighborhood’s street. “I’m doing alright. I uh… quit my job. Some stuff happened with another coworker and I just couldn’t work there anymore.” You hesitantly answered, fidgeting with the strap of your purse.
“Oh snap. Was it like a creepy coworker thing or…”
“No no, nothing like that. Well I guess… kinda. It’s complicated. I had no idea what this guy’s problem with me was but he wouldn’t leave me alone! Always harassed me before, during, and after work. I tried to report him to H.R. but since he was positions above me, they just gave him a slap on the wrist.” You paused for a few moments and felt your cheeks begin to burn with embarrassment. “So one morning, I was so pent up I… hit him. Like punched him, really hard. I’m pretty sure I broke his nose and screwed up my hand really badly. It was a stupid thing, really…”
Felicity stayed quiet for a few seconds before a smile creeped onto her face. “That is so badass.”
You looked at her dumbfounded. “It was not badass!”
“It so was! You were like ‘you want a piece of me?! Bam!’ and then the creep went down. I bet he never bothered you again after that, huh?” She quipped, that same dumb smile resting on her face.
“No, he didn’t. But it cost me my job! It’s just really unprofessional.”
“But didn’t you quit it?”
You sighed. “I quit out of embarrassment, before they would inevitably fire me.”
“Oh. Well, since you’re so smart, I’m confident you’ll find another one. Maybe one without a weirdo guy.”
“Yeah, I hope so.” You rested your elbow against the hard material on the door and laid your head against your cheek, staring at the passing buildings and people with a mopey expression. You really were disappointed you lost a job that both perfectly matched your interests and paid highly. Maybe after being in L.A. for a few weeks will raise your spirits enough to start job hunting again, and get out of this weird depressive funk that’s been preventing you from doing so.
Felicity noticed your change in attitude and cleared her throat, changing the subject. “So I’ve been following this one news blog and apparently there are some high tensions between the U.S. and some other countries for some reason. I really hope a war doesn’t start because that would be, like, really bad.” She says, glancing between you and the road ahead of her.
“Oh yeah,” You sit up again and look at her. “I’ve seen stuff like that on the news. If a war does start, they would start drafting people right?”
Slowly the restaurant came into view and Felicity pulled the car into the parking lot. “Pretty sure, but only boys though. Woohoo for us I guess… Speaking of boys, how’s Sam doing?”
“He’s doing fine. He got a car recently, It’s kind of a piece of junk though. And he also still hates you.”
Felicity laughed as she pulled into an empty parking space. “Yeah I figured. Should I apologize to him? Since I kind of invaded your personal life for a good while.” She turned off the car and stepped out, grabbing her purse. You think about it and eventually nod, also exiting the vehicle. ”He’s annoying for sure but I’m gonna say yes. I care about the both of you and I don’t want any bad tension between you two, as funny as it is.”
“I’ll remember that. Oh, and when we get in here, only one alcoholic beverage. Cause I am not dragging your drunk ass out of here like last time.” She playfully bumped her shoulder into yours and opened the front door for you.
“What that– It was my 21st birthday! That’s not fair. I even said I wouldn’t do something like that again.” You argued.
“Riiight, okay. Just get in here.” You rolled your eyes and mumbled a ‘whatever’, to which Felicity chuckled.
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
It was already night time when you and Felicity were done shopping at the mall. She was a bit of a bad influence considering how overboard you went with the shopping, with her excuse being ‘you’ll probably rarely get chances to visit Cali again so make it worth your while!’ But despite the amount of money you spent, you deemed it worth it considering you found the cutest pair of Uggs. As the two of you walked down the sidewalk, You let out a small sigh as you realized how far away Felicity had actually parked. It was a Saturday night so of course the mall was packed, so it made sense for her to park a block or two away.
What you both didn’t know was that there was a looming police car in the distance behind you, slowly creeping.
“Remember that one time in sophomore year when you liked that one jock-y kind of guy and during valentines day, you went up to give him a valentine and literally fell on your face?” You laughed, adjusting the bags in your hands so they wouldn’t be as uncomfortable in your hands.
“Oh my god, that was so embarrassing! It gives me second-hand embarrassment just thinking about it.” Felicity shivered.
“Hey, at least he asked if you were ok, even if he rejected you afterwards…”
“Ugh, can we talk about something else? Please?”
Soon, Felicity’s car came into view and you both crossed the street with urgency. As you put your bags in the backseat and got into the car, your brows furrowed at the police car parked beside the sidewalk you and Felicity were just walking. “Uh, Was that Cop car always there?” You pointed out to your friend.
“Mm, yeah no. I’m pretty sure he just drove up. He’s probably keeping a look out for thieves or junkies or something.” She replied, starting the car and beginning to pull out of the parking space. “Unless, you’re the thief.”
You playfully scoffed. “I wouldn’t steal anything!”
“I’m just joshing with you.” Felicity patted your back and drove down the dark street. A few minutes would pass before you would see that same cop car following behind you two from that same far distance as before. You brushed it off, he was probably just driving to get something to eat or go back to the station. But as Felicity turned the car a few more times and the car still didn’t change its direction, you started to get a little anxious.
“Felicity, that cop car is legitimately following us now.” You mumble, staring into the rear view mirrors with a small pit in your stomach.
“What? Should I pull over?” She replied in a worried manner.
“I don’t think so… He would turn his lights on or–or yell at us to pull over by now.”
Felicity decided to take a different way to your house and went down a darkened street with almost no streets nor people, to try and maybe lose him. The two of you still kept your eyes on the rear view lights before the car suddenly stopped. It sat there for a few seconds before making a U-turn and going back the way it entered, almost like it was being called by something. You both sighed in relief, “Thank god…” You muttered.
“That was really weird… Do you think he was gonna kidnap us or something?” Felicity looked at you with wide eyes.
The thought irked you a bit and you shook your head. “I don’t want to think about it, I just want to go home.”
Felicity nodded understandably and went back onto the regular route to your house. The ride wasn’t that long and as the car drove down your neighborhood’s street, the familiar shape of your family's home came into view. “Thank you for coming to hang out with me, I really missed you. And I’m sorry it ended weird with the whole cop thing…” Felicity said with a small frown on her face.
You huffed, leaning in and giving her a hug. “It’s okay. At least he left us alone and I got to spend some time with you.” You pulled away and smiled, to which she returned. You reached in the back and grabbed your bags, stepping out and closing the car door with your hip.
“I’ll call you tomorrow, please get home safe Fel.”
“Will do, tell your parents I said hi!” With that, Felicity started her car again and drove down the street. You watched her drive away for a few seconds before going into your house. When you opened your door, it was dark and you were pretty sure your parents were asleep. You walked up the stairs and you heard Sam’s muffled talking coming from his room. Something about how leaving someone behind at the lake wasn’t that big a deal and to ‘get over it.’
You snorted and headed towards your room, setting your bags down and closing the door. It was a bit late but you could probably still squeeze a shower in, considering you felt a bit sweaty from walking outside all that time. You took off your shoes and grabbed your towel off of the door, walking back into the hallway and into the bathroom. You didn’t want the shower to be too long considering how late it is so you moved with a sense of urgency, getting out after about 20 minutes.
After getting into some jammies and aggressively drying your hair with your towel, you flop into bed and sort of reminisce about the past day. While you were really happy you got to see your best friend again, you felt a bit irked out by that cop car following you and Felicity. There really was no rational explanation to justify why that car was following you so it was probably either a creepy guy who stole a police car, or worse, a creepy cop. The thought creeped you out and you sat up, yawning and rubbing your eyes tiredly. Your eyes dart over to under your door and you see a little bit of light that was coming from Sam’s room. That gave you an idea. You grabbed a blanket and a pillow and made your way out of your room. You stopped at Sam’s door and knocked. The sound of approaching footsteps were heard and the door opened, Sam standing there with a neutral expression. “What’s up?”
“Can I sleep in your room tonight?” You hesitantly asked, honestly feeling a little childish.
Sam rolled his eyes. “You’re a grown woman, with your own room, and I need my privacy. So if you don't mind—” As he closed the door, you gently stopped it with your hand and gave him a saddened look. “Please Sam, I don’t think I want to be alone right now.”
His eyes widened slightly and he sighed, opening the door fully and letting you enter. You found an empty spot on the carpeted floor and threw your pillow down, sitting down beside it. “So… Did something bad happen today?” Sam asked, walking over and sitting on his bed.
“No—well, yeah I guess. Felicity and I were on our way over here and this cop car was just slowly driving after us. I didn’t think much of it at first until Felicity turned a few times and that car was still behind us. We were panicking and I thought ‘oh my god i’m going to die’ before the creep stopped and turned around. It wasn’t fun, like at all.” As you talked, you laid your head down against your pillow and pulled your blanket over you, looking over at your brother.
“Oh damn, I’m sorry. That sounds freaky.” Sam said with a frown.
“Yeah it certainly was. I’m just glad we managed to get out of there without getting hurt or worse… Anyways, I’m gonna change the subject now. How was the lake party?”
Sam grinned at the question. “You won’t believe it when I tell you, cause it’s that unbelievable.”
“Spill.”
“Mikaela Banes actually got into my car and I drove her home, in my car!”
You sat up with a bewildered expression. “Bullshit!”
“I’m serious!”
The two of you talked and laughed for a little while after that and soon drifted off to sleep, you forgetting about the mildly upsetting events that transpired today. A few hours had passed of peaceful slumber until you heard a car revving and Sam running out his door in a hurry. You were still a bit dazed and your tired mind registered it as nothing, so you quickly fell back to sleep.

"𝖳𝗁𝖾𝗋𝖾 𝗂𝗌 𝗇𝗈 𝖾𝗇𝖽. 𝖮𝗇𝗅𝗒 𝖺 𝗇𝖾𝗐 𝖻𝖾𝗀𝗂𝗇𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀."
You and Malleus talk while you go for a evening stroll in the forest.
(You kind of take place of yuu in here.)
"The sky is beautiful today, isn't it?"
A hum, before the soft sound of the breeze fills the silence once more.
It was only the two of you, walking down the cobbled path. A comfortable quiet you've both resigned to.
This was a usual routine. Every time the sunset hour starts, you'll see him waiting for you patiently in the bench, right beside the trees. A sight you're fond of, as he's never looked so peaceful doing so.
Then, you approach, exchange greetings, and start the path together.
There was nothing really wrong with it. Both of you preferred the calm, the untold comfort of company. Maybe with the occasional conversations, and little tidbits of rants you'd express to each other.
However, this time felt more different for some reason.
Call it a feeling, maybe just a gut instinct. Maybe it's the small things he did, like how he glanced at you a little too long, or how his eyes were filled with this unknown gaze directed at you, or the way his walk was a little somber than normal, or—
Before you can let your thoughts continue, Malleus speaks up.
"Is something wrong?"
He pauses in his steps, tilting his head at you curiously. "You've been staring for quite some time, child of man."
You, of course, sputter, not realizing that your eyes haven't been as subtle as you thought. "O-oh, uhm. Sorry about that, I didn't mean to.. you know. Ogle at you weirdly." Rubbing your neck, you gesture with your apology, giving him an awkward grin.
But the fae only dismisses your worry with a hand, reassuring you. "Oh, no need to apologize. I was only wondering why you were staring at me. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with my appearance, is there?" he asks, blinking at you in question.
"What? Oh, no, of course not. Nothing's wrong with your outfit."
The previous embarrassment fades away, leaving only a lighthearted conversation in its place. Now, it's got you thinking, why were you staring at him in the first place?
"It's just that..." you trail off, looking at where both of you stopped. You've both strayed away from the cobblestone, settling into a small grassy opening. From here, the view of the sunset is clear, and the breezy air is all that surrounds you.
"It's just, you seem to have something heavy in mind."
Malleus' eyes widen just a fraction, before relaxing. "Hm. I thought I was hiding it well, but it seems you've still seen through it. As you always do."
That elicits a small smile from you, but it goes back down as you turn to face him fully. "Did something happen?"
He shakes his head. "No, not particularly. Everything's doing fine as usual. In contrary, nothing's been out of the ordinary out of late."
His tone turns quiet, as he faces the sunset, sunlight hues framing his face in an ethereal halo.
"I guess, it's just been a persisting thought in my head. It's silly, really, to worry about such a trivial thing." he mumbles, staring off into the horizon.
Meanwhile, you only look at him, curiosity and confusion evident in your expression. "How so? I'm sure it's not something silly if it's something so somber to you." you reassure, stepping beside him to watch the sunset. "And I'm sure that even if it was, it's still good to get it out."
He huffs at this, giving you a glance, a bit longer than it should, before returning his eyes to the sinking sun.
It's silent. The fae doesn't respond, seemingly deep in thoughts. You let him, deciding that whether or not he chooses to disclose his problems, is up to him.
"... Do you sometimes wish things would stay the same forever?"
His voice is still the same. Noble like, proper, and authoritative.
But for some reason, his voice seemed small, unsure, and uncertain. It felt like a question, but not, at the same time.
"To stay forever, huh?"
Those words mull around your mind, as if trying to understand what he meant.
"Like, to never leave, and to always stay the same?" you ask, looking at him for confirmation.
Malleus nods. "Correct."
You hum, turning back to the horizon. "To stay forever..."
It's a complicated thought, that one. For things to always stay the same, that would be nice, wouldn't it? To never lose what you had, to always keep what you got.
It's common to long for things like these, in the haze of fleeting time, where nothing stops for anything.
You stuff your hands in your pockets, closing your eyes as you bask in the cool breeze of the dusk.
"Not really." you reply, tone light.
Malleus turns his head curiously, eyes set in an expectant gaze that almost felt like weights on your shoulders. "Oh, why not?"
"I mean, what's the point?"
It seems this catches him off guard, as he blinks profusely, staring at you with a confused expression. "Well, I'm sure there are many. To never lose the people you love, for example."
You nod, stance unchanging. "Yes, but, losing a loved one does not mean you will never love again. Change is a part of life, and it helps us realize things we never even knew were there."
"Change..." he mutters, as if pondering the thought. "If I could, I'd make sure nothing would ever change."
A glance, and this time, you don't look away. "Why? Change is good. With change, you meet new people, explore new things."
Huffing, he crosses his arms. "I don't need new people."
It's kind of a unique sight, to see Malleus all grumpy like this, in a light hearted way. It's like an undone knot from his heavy aura a while ago, and to have lessened his burden if even just a little bit, is relieving.
And as you take in Malleus' visage, it seems to have reminded you of a deep seated thought you've always had in the back of your mind.
"You know, if things hadn't changed, I would have never met you."
You say this with a sincere voice, soft, and it makes Malleus pause.
At these words, he is reminded once again of your predicament. Right. From another place entirely, you were a foreigner of this world, yet he somehow can't think of you like that at all.
You fit right in, on days like these where it was just the two of you, under the same sky. He can't possibly imagine you somewhere else, farther than he could reach. He couldn't.
The fae is silent for a moment, stunned by your sudden sentimentality. You, however, continue.
"Sure, I still miss my home. Still waiting for Crowley to figure it out, but... I don't ever regret coming here. If I hadn't, I would have never met you. I wouldn't have met all these new friends, these new people..."
A soft breeze, the shining sun.
"I wouldn't have known what it's like to feel all these beautiful feelings, if I hadn't met you, you know."
At this point, Malleus' world just stops, pausing forever in a time he wish he could keep forever.
The sun's last golden rays dye your visage in an ethereal glow, and the small grin on your face, as curved eyes just gaze at him with such fondness his lips nearly part in wonder.
Yes, Malleus sometimes wishes things could stay the same forever.
To keep you by him like this, to never forget your face. To have a moment like this, and a million more.
Yes, he does wish this could stay forever. To be able to envelope you in his arms like this, to have you close to him.
He's scared. Scared that if he lets you out of his sight, you'll disappear, and it'll be like it's never been, even though he knows it's not.
So, for now, he'll have to cherish this time like it's the last, to take up every little bit of you, as you'll take his.
So that even when the sands of time slip through his fingers once more, you've never really left.
You've taken place in his heart, as he has yours,
and he plans it to be that way, forevermore.

Prologue
"WE SHOULD BREAK UP," SUKI announces on our way out of algebra class.
Her unfeeling declaration shouldn't surprise me since I knew this was inevitable, but I didn't expect her to dump me a few hours before prom.
I stop in the middle of the hallway, not caring that I'm blocking traffic. "Why now?" I ask, tightening my grip on my backpack straps.
She looks down at her pink painted nails, refusing to make eye contact with me.
"Things have been different since the accident. You're different." Translation: Now that your face is fucked up, I can barely stand to look at you. "Graduation is right around the corner, and with me leaving for Kyoto at the beginning of the summer, it only makes sense for us to part ways now." Translation: I want a clean break so I can date someone I'm not embarrassed to be seen with.
Now that I'm no longer the "ruggedly handsome Basketball player," as she so fondly used to call me, she's eager to replace me with someone who won't ruin pictures with a jagged scar marring half his face.
"Satoru, are you listening to me?" She waves her hand in front of me to grab my attention when I don't respond.
"My face may be fucked up but my ears work just fine, Su," I say through gritted teeth.
"What did I say?" she challenges, hands on her hips.
"That you're embarrassed to be seen with me, and you want to date other people. Does that sum it up?" Okay, so those weren't her exact words, but we both know that's what she's thinking.
"You're twisting what I said," she retorts, raising her voice and taking a defensive stance, arms folded tightly across her chest.
The sound of someone snickering catches my attention. That's when I notice the sizable crowd of students lingering in the hall, interested to hear how this argument unfolds.
"You're right. We have grown apart," I say, keeping my voice steady.
Suki's eyes widen in shock at hearing me agree. That's when she notices our audience, causing a sudden shift in her blasé attitude. She gets fidgety and twirls a piece of hair around her finger, shifting from foot to foot.
"What are you saying?" she demands, glancing back at her friends who have joined the group of spectators.
From her reaction, one would assume she's the one being dumped in front of an audience, not the other way around.
"We should break up," I say, echoing her earlier declaration.
"Just like that?" she demands. "You're not even going to try to convince me to change my mind? How could you humiliate me in front of—"
"Cut the theatrics, Suki," Suguru interrupts her rant, standing beside me in a silent show of support. "You said it yourself. It's over. Don't embarrass yourself more than you already have."
He must have been in the crowd watching things play out. We've been best friends since preschool, and he's one of the few people I can count on always to have my back.
"Mind your own business, Suguru," Suki spits out. "This is a private conversation between me and my boyfriend."
"Ex-boyfriend," I interject. "You were just telling me you wanted to break up, remember?"
"And from where I'm standing, this is as far from private as you can get," Suguru adds. "Now, why don't you and your friends get lost?" He shoos her like a dog.
Suki's cheeks turn bright red when the hallway fills with laughter. "Are you really going to just stand there and let him disrespect me?" she whines.
"Suguru's right. It's best if you leave," I say calmly.
"You'll be sorry," she fumes. "Don't come begging to win me back when you see me with my new prom date tonight. He's a freshman in college," she throws in my face before storming away.
Her entourage hurries after her, and the crowd quickly disperses now that the spectacle is over.
It shouldn't surprise me that she has another date lined up. She would never risk the humiliation of going alone.
"Good riddance," Suguru mumbles under his breath. "Remind me again why you dated her. She is such a diva."
"I don't know." I shrug. "She was nice when we first met. Plus, all the guys on the Basketball team kept saying we'd be good together, so I figured, why not?"
In truth, I can't be with the girl I've always wanted, and Suki was a welcome distraction. She is attractive and popular and made me feel important—until my accident.
"College chicks are going to fucking love your scar. It makes you look badass." Suguru pats me on the back.
"Thanks, man," I say, ready to move on from this topic. "Where's Y/n?" I scan the hall as the group disperses, but she's nowhere to be seen.
Y/n, Suguru's twin sister, tags along most of the time, making her one of my closest friends.
The smug expression on Suguru's face turns serious. "You're not the only one who was stood up for prom. Toji broke things off with Y/n right before eighth period." His voice drips with fury. "He left her crying alone in the school parking lot."
I clench my fists at my side, the urge to kick Toji's ass building inside me. Y/n is the sweetest, most beautiful girl in school, and frankly Toji never deserved her.
"What a scumbag," I spit out in disgust. "He needs to be put in his place." No one disrespects Y/n and gets away with it.
"Get in line," he snickers.
"Where is she now?"
"I'm not sure. She said she wanted to be alone and took off on her bike," Suguru says with a worried frown. "I should skip prom and go look for her. I'm sure Shoko will understand if I have to cancel our date."
I shake my head. "There's no reason for you to spend the night wallowing in misery like the rest of us. Go home and get ready to pick up Shoko. Don't worry, I'll find Y/n." There's only one place she would go if she wanted to be alone without dealing with unwanted visitors.
Except for me, that is.
"Are you sure?" Suguru asks, concern etched on his face.
"Absolutely. We'll make a night of it," I assure him.
If I could convince Y/n to attend prom with me, I'd do it, but knowing her as I do, she'll want to stay as far away from Toji and the dance as possible.
Suguru nudges me with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Look, there's Toji now." I glance over to him walking toward the school entrance with his friends. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Suguru questions.
"That it's time for payback?" I smirk, cracking my knuckles as I stalk toward Toji.
Suguru cracks. "You read my mind."
As I pull up to the old Yaga's place, a smile crosses my lips when I spot Y/n's robin-blue bike parked against the house. The place has been abandoned for over twenty years, but it's become the hangout spot for my siblings and friends. N/n, in particular, has taken a liking to it and comes here when she needs peace and quiet.
I make my way through the overgrown lawn to the backyard, where I find Y/n. She's stretched out on a flannel blanket, her sanctuary under the shade of the giant oak tree, lost in a book. Her h/c hair falls in waves down her back, a sight that always takes my breath away. I smile when I see she's wearing her favorite pair of Doc Martens.
Seeing her like this takes me back to the day in our tenth-grade English class when she came in wearing a white V-neck top, light-wash jeans, and those same Docs. Even though we've known each other our whole lives, that was the first time I saw her in a new light and I swear my heart skipped a beat when she waved at me with her signature megawatt smile. I couldn't take my eyes off her during class.
When the bell rang, Suguru grabbed me by the collar and dragged me out into the hall, shoving me against the closest set of lockers. He noticed me watching Y/n and warned me she was off-limits.
I couldn't jeopardize our friendship because of a crush on his sister, so I did my best to suppress my feelings for Y/n. It wasn't easy. Something about her called to me, and it kept drawing me in like a gravitational pull, despite my best efforts.
Like she can sense that I'm thinking about her, she looks up at me with tear-stained cheeks as I approach. My chest tightens at seeing her sad. I would do anything to take away her pain and bring a smile to her face.
"Mind if I join you? I brought dinner." I hold up a bag of takeout from Maidreamin Café—Her favorite Store in Shibuya.
"Did Suguru send you?" She eyes the food warily.
"No. He told me what happened with Toji, and I figured this is where you'd be," I answer truthfully.
Without waiting for an invitation, I sit on the blanket and set the bag in front of me. Y/n watches with interest as I take out two bacon cheeseburgers, fries, and a chocolate shake topped with extra whipped cream and a cherry—all her favorites.
"Why come if you knew I wanted to be alone?" There's a hint of sass in her voice.
She's not afraid to go head-to-head with me and doesn't hesitate to set me straight when I'm out of line.
"My mom always says chocolate is the best cure for a broken heart." I hold out the shake, a smile tugging at my lips when she takes it.
"She's absolutely right." Y/n grins as she takes a sip. "Want to tell me why you're here with me instead of at prom?"
"Suki dumped me after school," I state flatly.
"Oh, Satoru, I'm sorry." Y/n places her hand on my arm. "I hate that bitch," she says with conviction.
Her touch sends a jolt of electricity down my spine, and it takes every ounce of willpower to maintain a poker face. She has no idea how I really feel about her, and it has to stay that way.
A few weeks after Suguru told me Y/n was off-limits, Suki showed interest in me, and I threw all my energy into our budding relationship. She was the perfect distraction, helping me temporarily forget about my attraction to Y/n, those feelings simmering below the surface.
"It's for the best." I shrug, reaching across Y/n to grab a fry.
"Oh my god, Gojo," she gasps when she spots the swollen knuckles on my left hand.
"What happened?"
I grin at her use of my last name. She's called me that since ninth grade when I started playing Basketball. Gojo was stitched across the back of my jersey, and the nickname stuck. Y/n has always resented that Y/n calls me that, but I couldn't care less what she thinks now.
I like it when Y/n uses it. I love it.
"Tell me what you did," she presses when I don't answer her question right away.
"Toji Zenin said something that pissed me off, so I punched him in the face," I tell her with a grin.
She gasps, her eyes wide with shock. "Oh, Satour, please don't tell me you did it because of me."
"Do you want me to lie?"
She shakes her head. "I want the truth."
"I did it because he hurt you," I confess simply. "He deserved it." When he called Y/n a frigid bitch after Suguru and I confronted him for dumping her, I let my temper take over. I have zero regrets.
"You shouldn't have done that," she scolds me, a worried look on her face. "What if he had hit you back? You could have been hurt."
I laugh, pointing to the scar on my face. "As long as he aimed for the left side, we wouldn't be able to tell the difference."
"That's not funny, Satour." Y/n scolds me. "Toji was provoking you. His dad is the president of the school board, you know this. What if you get suspended?"
God, her protective side is so adorable.
I've been sent to the office so often that I'm on a first-name basis with the principal. I have a habit of letting my fists do the talking when someone is being a bully and am late more often than not. One more offense won't make a difference.
In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter anyway. Graduation is only a month away, and I don't think I want to go to college. Not that I've had the courage to break the news to my parents yet.
"It was worth it," I promise Y/n. "Now eat before the food gets cold."
"You don't have to tell me twice." She grabs a burger and unwraps it before taking a large bite. A subtle moan escapes her lips as she chews.
"Good?"
"Mm-hmm," she acknowledges around her mouthful of food.
I'm entranced as I watch juice dribble down her chin. Without thinking, I gently wipe it away with my finger, freezing when I realize what I've done.
"Sorry," I say as I yank my hand back.
Her e/c eyes meet mine as she traces her mouth where my finger grazed.
"Don't be." She offers me a reassuring smile. "You know I'm a messy eater, so I appreciate it."
I clear my throat. "Yeah, I'm happy I could help." I brush the sauce off on a napkin before I do something out of line like lick it from my finger.
Thankfully, Y/n isn't paying attention. She's chewing methodically, lost in thought. "Why are boys so stupid?" she mumbles under her breath.
"I could ask the same question about girls," I tease.
"Hey." She playfully slugs me on the shoulder. "We're not all self-absorbed snobs like Suki. Honestly, I'm not sure what you ever saw in her."
She was a distraction.
What stings the most about what happened with Suki is the fear that other people will react the same to my scar. I used to be comfortable in my own skin, but since the accident, I'm not so sure anymore.
"Hey, Gojo," Y/n says, her sing-song voice snapping me out of my pity party.
"Yeah, N/n," I reply.
"Do you believe in soulmates?"
"I'm not sure," I answer honestly.
"Is it weird that I do?" She watches me, anticipating my reaction. "I like to think there's one person out there that I'll grow old with and who will love me unconditionally, no matter what." She chews on her lower lip as she considers her next words. "What if I'm destined to date losers for the rest of my life?"
Y/n is a dreamer who sees the world with a glass-half-full mentality. Which is why I don't have it in me to tell her that Toji most likely won't be the last man who breaks her heart.
Relationships are messy and tangled up with so many emotions, and I, for one, plan to avoid them in the future. They're nothing but complicated, inevitably leading to pain. Why anyone would want to subject themselves to that brutality is beyond me.
"N/n, you're only seventeen," I remind her. "You've got plenty of time to find your one."
"But what if he never comes?" She leans back, looking up at me with those innocent e/c eyes.
God, why does she have to be so pretty?
"I'll tell you what." I give in to temptation and play with a strand of her hair. "If you can't find him, and we're both still single when we're thirty, we'll get married."
Y/n bursts out laughing. "You can't be serious."
I've never been more serious in my life.
In an alternate universe, I like to think that I could be her one. The person to make her laugh every day, her Prince Charming, and the one she couldn't live without.
In this reality, I'm just the court jester she tolerates because of my sense of humor and upbeat attitude. I'm not the prince who sweeps her off her feet, or the knight in shining armor she rides off into the sunset with.
"I may not be your first choice, but I promise you I'd be an excellent substitute," I tease.
Y/n raises a brow in a silent challenge. "Oh, really?"
"Absolutely. I would make you laugh every day, make sure you had an endless supply of takeout from Maidreamin Café, and build you a dedicated room for your shoe collection."
She bats her eyelashes. "How could I ever refuse such an offer?"
"Do you have a pen in your backpack?"
An idea strikes me, and I decide to run with it, fully committed to this ludicrous, yet oddly inevitable agreement.
"Yeah, sure." She nods, grabbing her bag from the other side of the blanket. She pulls out a black ballpoint pen and hands it to me.
"Thanks." I take a napkin from the pile that came with our food order, set it on the discarded fry box, and hunch over to write.
"What are you doing?" Y/n cranes her neck to get a better view.
"You'll see." I cover the napkin with my hand so she can't see what I'm writing.
Midway through, I look up to find her gaze locked on mine. It's as if time stands still and we're the only two people in the universe sharing a connection deeper than words. A silent agreement, connecting us in the moment.
She's the first to look away, and I quickly return my attention to the note.
"There, that should do it," I announce triumphantly when I've finished.
"I don't know if a napkin would hold up in court." Y/n giggles when I hold it out for her to read.
Satour Gojo & Y/n Geto promise to marry each other if they're both single when they turn thirty. This agreement is legally binding.
"Well, we better sign it then." I scribble my name at the bottom and pass it to her along with the pen.
She uses her book as a hard surface beneath the napkin, sticking the tip of her tongue out in concentration as she signs her name neatly next to mine. I'm mesmerized by the details of her heart-shaped face, the smattering of freckles across her nose, her long eyelashes still damp with tears.
What was Toji thinking, letting her go? She's so damn beautiful.
And off-limits, I remind myself. Suguru has made that crystal clear.
"There, all done," Y/n declares with her signature smile.
Someday a lucky son of a bitch will give Y/n everything she deserves—but it won't be me. The consolation prize is knowing that I did something today to ease her heartache, even if just a little, and her smile makes it well worth the effort.

Had the extremely upsetting experience of a mutual of like 6 years going off on me for occasionally making posts about supporting Harris because apparently that makes me a g n cide denier who refuses to learn and grow, with all of my views just being assumed not even from what I've told them I believe or what I've posted before, but just because I DON'T post particularly the kind of things they THINK I should be. When I pointed out how much they were just completely assuming about stuff I'd never talked to them about, I was told it doesn't matter what I do in real life or "care" about if I simply disagree with their conclusion and vote for her anyway. Like they were absolutely not sorry for the level of maliciousness they not just assumed of my character, but for some reason thought appropriate to bring directly to me before unfollowing me. No apology whatsoever for how discomforting or upsetting that might be and certainly no acknowledgment that I could disagree with them and still be a good person. I just got another even longer rant about how they fundamentally can't fuck with me because of this one thing, no matter WHAT else I do in my real life (which I pointed out that they do not know), and how I'm directly supporting fascism.
Like seriously what is it about Tumblr that makes people think they know someone based off of occasional posts? There were just such DEEP assumptions they were making of me and going off of very little or absolutely nothing. Around the time I first became mutuals with that person I used to express my personality and beliefs and talk about what was going on in my life a lot more openly, but I've significantly scaled back on doing that in many ways for many reasons. One of my major ones is privacy and the way I've had strangers outside my followers and following circles just find random things I say and dogpile me for it. I was fundamentally changed after some T Fs did that to me like 3 years ago. I also just didn't have many conversations w that person anymore (I message people in general on here like 10x less than I did circa 2018-2019, which I'm somewhat sorry about!). My point is to say I think this person felt comfortable assuming that they knew me, especially who I am in 2024 at the age of 25, much better than they actually did.
One of the specific things they accused me of was being afraid of learning and growing (because I don't perform social media activism on here like they think I should). Like AFRAID to take criticism. When again I've never received criticism from them or had to respond to any criticism on here before as pertaining to my views on... well, absolutely any of the issues they accused me of not caring about. They essentially treated it as if the only thing in the world I cared about was the US election and characterized me as the most out-of-touch liberal they could possibly imagine, because I'm not "pushing" Kamala Harris to be better (Oh?? Should I do that on here?? Does she read my blog??).
And most hypocritically what they said was that I only *sometimes* *vaguely* post pro-Harris things (I often post like 5 or fewer things in a day though?). But here's the kicker. "Because I know I'll get shit for it. And rightfully so."
Really????? Not a single person, anon or not, in my messages or in a tagged post or anything, has ever given me shit before for saying who I'm voting for. I'm actually NOT afraid of "getting shit" for that opinion, I just don't start fights with people who are anti-voting. And why should I??? I genuinely don't believe in trying to change the minds of strangers on the internet about that sort of thing. I'm just not confrontational about it; that is so not the same thing as being "afraid of getting shit." I'm not posting ENOUGH about my support for Harris, therefore I'm afraid. But therefore they can also make all these assumptions about me being their strawman for an ignorant Harris supporter.
I'm afraid of getting shit but I still post anyway? But if I weren't afraid of getting shit I'd be posting a lot more?? This is ALL based on their assumptions of what my blog *should* look like, based on what I really and truly believe. My level of posting every now and then is an accurate gauge of my feelings on complex, sensitive, global issues. Because I'm voting for the Democratic presidential candidate and I'm ok sharing pretty much just that little glimpse of myself.
I really don't think that person knows just how inappropriate and insulting that is to just say all of that to me. Like they really know what's going on in my head. Their first message began and ended with like "I'm sorry I love you I just can't take it anymore" but they clearly weren't sorry enough to try and be more respectful to me, and they didn't love me enough not to default to extremely ungenerous assumptions and attacking me based off of those instead of any actual words I've said that they take issue with.
Online radicalization is real and it's not necessarily bad because your political views can start to fall well out of the contemporary Overton window. The way you find it appropriate to treat people whose views, however common, seem to fundamentally misalign with yours... that does matter. You can't just assume the worst of everyone and then act on that in how you approach them as individuals. And then be shocked that you don't stay friends with them. You can't be confrontational with someone about an issue you've never had an honest conversation about, and then expect them to take your bad faith in them as reasonable well-meaning criticism.
I'm afraid of criticism??? I'm afraid of criticism. No I'm not. This person and I have never had an issue before where they criticized me and I got harshly defensive. It was ALL projection. The entire tone of their messages was as if all their anti-voting posts recently were somehow in communication with the occasional go-vote-for-Harris posts that I make. That's not a conversation. I don't post for your satisfaction. I don't post in "response" to my mutuals I disagree with. I just post what's on my mind, sometimes, about some things. I really again can't stress enough how baffled I am by this
#tales from diana#long post#this is not really a post about voting this is a post about online etiquette#i also remember that this person at one point when we were teenagers had a crush on me#so they might have somewhat idealized me or maybe just had respect for the good times#good conversations we had over the years etc#i still held them in regard even though some of their anti-voting posts i took serious issue w#again i really don't care to argue w ppl against voting bc really i mainly only disagree w that one conclusion#the systemic critiques that were made in those posts i don't think make them bad ppl#i sympathize w why someone might think that way#i just cannot pretend that i think nothing changes if we have dt as president again#i can't act as if im not anxious at the state of the world we're in where we're seriously at risk of that#i don't have that same level of concern about harris. i don't. i don't think theyre the same#i think they diverge in so many meaningful ways but im usually not writing detailed long thoughtful posts about it#do i have to??? for TUMBLR?? id rather not...#but i don't wish to be confronted as if these are nuances i MUST not hold in my opinion#can't stress enough they were basically calling me a g n cide denier like that's just a cool ok thing to do#i have literally never made a post about ppl not voting for harris bc of the war in gaza#i specifically haven't not because im 'afraid' but bc i don't believe in comparing those 2 things#there was gonna be a presidential election this year anyway and there does not have to be this war#if u think dems aren't doing well enough on the war for u to vote for them. i can't argue w u#but i was always going to vote anyway#again im afraid of getting shit?? ONLY this person has EVER given me shit until now#im not pushing harris enough? how tf do u know that? bc im not reblogging ill-informed posts from ppl like u?#im not PUSHING this woman running for president enough bc im not writing critical posts she and her advisers will never see#about how im threatening to withhold my vote from them. something id never honestly do considering the opposition#they kept stressing to me to about how they weren't a trump supporter when *i* never said as much to them#i do agree that not voting for harris 'supports' trump in that it benefits him overall#but i don't attack ppl who just aren't voting in that way. ok?#damn i hate being on the defensive like this

Hey I have an idea that’s been in my head for a while so like what if reader is carols kid (for the sake of this we’re gonna say her characters missing or gone) and the reader loved to rant stuff to her and now that she’s gone she couldn’t but say a couple weeks later reader gets excited about something (books, comics, you chose doesn’t matter) and Daryl snaps
At them because he’s frustrated with something else and maybe the reader doesn’t talk for a few hours and he apologizes and fluff? Sorry it’s so long
I MEANT TO POST THIS ONE OVER A WEEK AGO, I'M SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO REALIZE I MESSED UP!!!!! I'M SO SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION!!!!!!! And to the anon who sent in the other request that this is posted with, I will write that one out next and post it!!! I need to re-shoutout to the anon who helped me move this one along! You saved me from taking even longer to have it posted!
Once you were both back on a main road, you swung your bag around to your front and pulled out a copy of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, which was surprisingly still in fairly good condition. Corners were bent and pages slightly weathered, and the front cover was a bit scratched up and dusty, but as far as you could tell, all of the pages were still in tact.
It felt like it had been ages since you felt this excited about something, ever since Carol left, at least. Since she's been gone, your mood had been pretty low, partly due to the fact that you didn't have anyone to talk to anymore. You tried to keep your excitement contained, but you couldn't help yourself, you were just too fucking excited!
"Oh man, I can't believe I found this, Daryl look!" You waved the book in front of you, grinning from ear to ear, barely noticing the quick glance from Daryl before you looked the book over again. "I've been wanting to read these books for forever but never got around to it, and now it's going to be a bit out of order since I'm starting with the second book, but that shouldn't matter cause I've seen the movies so I already know what happens. Have you read these or seen the movies?"
Words spewed out in rapid fire and you continued on without giving him a chance to respond. "I couldn't ever decide who my favorite characters were cause they were all so cool, but I always felt I had hobbit vibes cause I love breakfast, and potatoes! PO-TAY-TOES --" "Hey! Can ya shut up, please? I can't think straight with all that ramblin' yer doin'. We wasted too much time as it is, prob'ly cause of that dumb book, so let's keep it movin'."
His loud voice startled you, stopping you in your tracks. You stared at him in disbelief as he yelled, this time him not giving you any time to react before he turned and started walking again. It took you a few seconds to ground yourself, he had never talked to you that way before.
You looked down at the book for a moment before going through the motions of putting it back in your bag and continuing your way behind Daryl. All you think about now was how much you wished Carol would come back, not only because you missed her and wanted to share these things with her, but she was the only one you felt understood you. She would have never reacted that way towards you, and until that moment, you honestly didn't think Daryl would have either.
You didn't make a sound the rest of the time. When you stopped at other places to see if there was anything you could bring back, you did it quietly. When you finally stopped for the night, you gathered up the wood for the fire and got it started like Carol showed you.
Daryl was quiet too, but he looked like he had wanted to say something for the past couple hours by the way he would glance back at you every now and then. As dinner was heating up, the only sounds that could be heard was the crackling of the fire. You sat close by to keep warm, hugging your knees to your chest.
After a few minutes of stirring around the food in the pan, Daryl sat back and chewed at the inside of his lip. "I'm sorry about earlier.." he finally spoke, his voice softer now. You glanced over at him and nodded, unsure if you were ready to speak yet.
There was another pause before he continued. "I need ya ta know that you weren't doin' anythin' wrong, and I wasn't mad at ya 'cause of the book. I jus'.. I was mad at somethin' else and I shouldn't've taken it out on ya, and I'm sorry."
You nodded your head. You could see that he truly meant it, he always did, but nodding was all you could manage in that moment. There was another quiet pause. "I know ya miss her.. I know it's tough not havin' her here, but she will be back, ya know."
"When?" It was a quick response, catching Daryl off guard. He didn't have an answer for you and you could see that by the look he had on his face. "I dunno," it was almost a whisper. "But she will be, she always does."
You let out a quiet sigh and brought your attention back to the fire. "I think the food is done. Carol always said you like to cook the meat until it's dry," you tried to hide your smirk, but Daryl caught it. Of course he caught it!
"Is that so? I hate ta break it to ya, but Carol doesn't know everythin'." He chuckled before removing the pan from the fire and tossing the contents inside around. The meat was charred and the look of it just made you both laugh.
"Why don't we make a deal," your ears perked and you brought your attention back to him. "You show me how Carol showed ya how to cook and I'll show you an easier way to start a fire." You smiled and nodded your head in agreement. "Ok, that sounds like a fun deal."
You felt your mood shift to something lighter, like you could relax again. As you took over the cooking, starting something new so you weren't just eating burnt mystery meat, Daryl brought up the book you had found. "I've seen a couple of those movies, never read the books though. I think I'd probably be a hobbit, too. That old scowly one that's always glarin' at people."
You smiled and nodded. "Oh, I can see that," you laughed. "You'd have 'No visitors welcome' signs staked all around your yard just to make sure everyone got the hint to stay away." You both laughed.
The rest of the night moved along effortlessly, talking about your favorite parts, quoting lines that you could remember and just having a good, fun time. It reminded you of how things were with Carol and it helped fill that void you felt since she's been gone. No one could replace her, but it felt good having other people who could make you feel like the way she did.
#repost cause I'm a fuckin dumbass#d-dixonimagines#daryl dixon imagines#daryl dixon x reader#carol peletier

Hi, do you mind if I rant a little? Because I found one of your posts while browsing the Loki tag and I’ve since found several more. Then I found your WandaVision one and it reminded me all over again how annoyed that finale made me. I’m sorry, I know it’s been a couple years since it came out, but MY DAYS! What were they thinking in the writers room!? It could’ve all been resolved if Wanda didn’t know what she was doing and sincerely apologised after for it, but… SHE KNEW!? The whole time! And then felt justified for it! “They won’t know what you sacrificed” still being one of the worst lines to come from Marvel. What happened to Wanda crying her eyes out in Lagos because she caused casualties? What happened to Wanda having a panic attack in AOU because she realised what she’d accidentally caused to happen? I had my own opinions about her before, but now I can’t stand her. It would be alright if Marvel went down the villain route of Wanda grieving so much she can no longer care to do good, but they’re still trying to act like she’s a good person after this, as if they haven’t made all her casualties only POC, as if she had a right to enslave an entire town and gaslight her husband and kids. I’m sorry, I’ve gone on for longer than I meant to about something you’re probably not even bothered about anymore. I don’t even know if I’m making sense
rant away, you're good. I remember that i made that post after months (weeks?) of frustration about seeing people praising the ground that Wanda walks on when all I could see when I looked at her is one of the most selfish people in the entirety of MCU. Her character was so good until WandaVision and MoM. She and Loki were my favorite characters.
"It could’ve all been resolved if Wanda didn’t know what she was doing and sincerely apologized after for it, but… SHE KNEW!?"
EXACTLY. There is a massive difference between "i did this without meaning to, I am so sorry" vs "I know I am actively hurting these people and I DO NOT CARE" she comes across as so cold and so selfish because she doesn't. Wanda in WandaVision doesn't care about other people, just what she wants. I just can't help but think about the beginning of her arc vs the end and just feel massive disappointment. And I think it wouldn't be as annoying if it wasn't framed like she was a hero. If they intentionally took her on a dark path and let her be evil, it would have been fine and I would have enjoyed it because I would have been in awe of the clever writing.
But she's not. Wanda is not a hero in WandaVision for holding an entire town captive. she's not a hero for being aware of what she was doing and then doing it anyway. Like I guess the problem with WandaVision is that the finale and the rest of the series seem to disagree with each other, if that makes sense?
Wanda knows what she's doing in every episode until the end, where she's suddenly more sympathetic because she's not trying to hurt people?
like this scene:
this scene was clearly intended for her to BE the villain
but then you get to the end and the finale is like "NOPE! She was actually a good person the Whole Time :D"
look at her! Would I say she's in her right mind? no. but she is aware, she is responding, she is conscious, she KNOWS what she is doing because she understands that the wall can be exited and entered, she is aware these people are here to RESCUE the townspeople and she threatens them. She has what she wants, that's all that matters. WandaVision is an amazing villain origin story. but somehow after all of this she still doesn't have to face any repercussions???
gughsguhgusdghsdglihsdg. Yeah, it's been years and I'm still mad.
but this
are not this:
#anti wandavision#anti wanda maximoff#i miss her so much#who she used to be before this giant mess :(#anon answered

long rant incoming, I'm just fed up with a certain person right now
OH MY GOODNESS is it too much to ask for just a LITTLE respect?? I drive this girl to and from school, every day. I'm going to call her Laura. Laura is an only child and the only reason I'm taking her to school is because she refuses to bike to mile and a half from her place to the school in the cold. Which is fine. The arrangement was that I drive her and she pays gas money. The problem is, she's been super annoying about it. Every morning for about a month, she would text me "are you picking me up today". every single morning. Until I snapped one day and told her that I have been picking her up every morning for the past month, of course I'm picking her up. not my proudest moment, but it works. Now, however, I have to text her every time I'm at her house and she still takes maybe 4 minutes to get out the door. Which, okay, I can understand the texting thing, but I would like her to be ready. and then every afternoon, she tells me that she can't find my car, so I have to tell her where I parked it in the morning. or she won't text anything and I'm sitting in my car for five or ten minutes after I text her for a response that's lik "oh I was with friends" or "I thought you were still in the school, I'm coming out now" which. okay. I understand, I like talking to my friends, but we all leave pretty quickly because no senior wants to stay at school longer than they have to. But there have been more than a few times where I'm sitting in my car for OVER HALF AN HOUR waiting for her to text back with "oh btw I forgot to tell you, I have a club meeting" or "i went home with a friend" or some bs. So every day I have to text her "do you need a ride home" because I'm waiting, in my car, for 15 minutes after school, waiting for this girl. And today, I'm sitting there for 25 minutes. and I'm like, okay I can wait, because I have some fics to catch up on. But then I'm finished with my fics
and I text her because she's still not there and it takes another five minutes for her to respond, word for word, "oh, sorry, I thought you would text me when you got to your car" after I've REPEATEDLY said that I typically leave school as soon as I can. I'm willing to wait for her, but I'm usually gone within five minutes of the bell. I waited half an hour for her to tell me that she was waiting for me to text her, informing her of my location, after I've told her that I'm always at my car. I even text her when I have something going on! Club meeting? I pick her up and before we get to school "I can't drive you home because I have a club meeting." If I have somewhere to be, or if I have to stay after school, I tell her before school or during lunch. Every single time, without fail.
not to mention the fact that the original arrangement was that she would pay me 10 dollars every 2 weeks for gas. I've only gotten 20 dollars in the past three and a half months. she keeps asking if I have venmo, and then never bringing up payment when I say that I don't. and she always complains about being too broke to afford anything, then goes and buys pizza and donughts during lunch. she's been flaky for everything else, too and it's so annoying. I've been trying to be a nice friend, because I didn't have friends, let alone kind friends growing up, and I've becoming known as the rich friend who's always willing to help in my friend group. I try to set boundaries, but then people stop talking to me the moment I do. and this has gone on throughout my entire life. Laura's behavior is even what happened in all of my previous relationships, I'd be giving 100 percent and they're giving 50, at best, until I wear myself out just trying to spend time with them and make it work, including talks where I set my boundaries and tell them, literally say "I would like it if you could just do this". If you could just get work off for a single evening or just look away from the computer for half an hour during lunch so we can have an actually conversation, then they never even try and don't understand when I'm all out of juice and can't keep going, then are confused when I stop giving my all
it's infuriating and I hate it. I really want to set boundaries, but guess what. I was raised to walk on eggshells around my mom and let people walk all over me because that's the only way that I would ever get attention from my PARENTS. because I was told to shut up and do what I'm told so that my siblings could get the help that they needed.
#I need to set more boundaries#I want to be the nice friend#but nice doesn't equal taken advantage of#I really hate Laura right now#but I feel bad trying to set boundaries and leaving her out in the cold if she decides that putting in just a little bit more effort#isn't worth it#asjhkdfjhf#personal#if anyone has any advice#I love my trauma so much /s#my other friendships are great because they actually contribute things to the relationship#but also when I start setting boundaries people don't stick around#I have a really hard time making friends and my parents suggested a money incentive#hey lets go out to eat; I'm paying#and I get a friend but it feels like I'm buying a friendship#because I'm the fucking “rich” kid who only has three real friends#and the only place that I've actually felt like I belonged#or like people actually cared about me and my interests#was a fucking discord server#some random 25 year old lady from Germany cares more about me than some of my friends

why i don't post to tumblr anymore.
hello. i'm sure you're all wondering why i'm no longer posting to ztarvokwrites, ztarvok, or any other of my side blogs relating to or containing one piece related content.
it's because i no longer feel welcomed in the one piece tumblr community.
i'm going to be cold and honest. currently, i refuse to post here. all i get are likes nowadays, my inbox is empty, and it seems nobody gives a shit about oc x canon — which is a topic that makes me incredibly happy.
"but star, you seemed to be doing fine! you even collaborated with a bunch of people to make one blog right?"
yes. when i had tumblr mutuals who i considered my friends. where have they gone now? how am i supposed to know that — most of them have me blocked. that's another reason as to why i no longer feel welcomed here.
allow me to be uncharacteristically bitter as i describe exactly how i felt when i found out that i was pretty much abandoned;
it was the beginning of this year i think when i discovered that the discord server we were all in had disappeared from my list. i got confused, so i went to my friends list only to find that one of them had remained my friend on discord. one. when i clicked on their profile, we had no mutual servers, meaning i was either kicked or banned.
i was confused. did i do something to warrant that? as much as i wanted to ask that person, i knew that they most likely wouldn't respond or try to be all nice and dimmer down what the reasoning was.
i go to another one of them still in my dms list and hesitate for a bit before trying to react to one of their messages.
the reaction disappears immediately.
all those other people in that server have me blocked on discord and i have no idea why to this day. about the one person that kept me on their friends list; i took it upon myself to remove them as a friend.
all this took me into a spiral, my body just going through the motions as i went to work but going home in a mood because just why?? what the fuck did i do??
instead of blocking me and kicking me out of a server next time, TALK TO ME. TELL ME WHAT I DID SO I CAN MAKE THINGS RIGHT AND REMOVE MYSELF.
these people were my friends for TWO OR THREE WHOLE YEARS and they block me just like that? no prior warning or anything just "hey let's block star and never talk to them again!"
sorry. for whatever i did i'm sorry.
don't go attacking anyone if you find out who they are. don't go finding them. i just wanted to rant.
my inbox will still be open. my posts will still be up. my masterlist will be here.
this post will have tags. not because i want them to see this, but because i'm sick and tired of screaming into the void or making something i'm proud of only for it to flop.
if you want to see me post, here is my linktree. it has my socials on it.
and to my old tumblr friends; i sincerely wish you all the best and i hope life treats you well. i'll be logging out of library-of-ohara. i think it's best we continue forgetting about each other.
thank you for reading, and i love you all <3

DAMN SO IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD A DU TO OBEY ME PIPELINE. that fandom made me worse and i think it made my life go downhill (/hj). i was so mean like we weren't all children with unrestricted internet access idk why i thought it was that serious </3 (sorry i was reading ur blog and saw a post responding to someone and i went "wait i minute" and had a few flashbacks)
OMG HEYYYY (more ex fandom ranting under the cut!)
first, welcome!! so glad you found a better fandom to migrate to and that you aren't stuck in the past like some people i knew. you are all good, no need to apologize. it's so crazy to me that i've encountered not one, but two ex du fans out in the wild! i thought there were about fifteen of us total lol. i know that war flashback feeling. was digging through old screenshots for something the other day and i found my stash and had to take a moment. sorry if some of this makes no sense or has odd flow. i'm word vomiting and i'm pretty tired rn (in the middle of drinking a matcha, coffee, and monster all at the same time). college has been sucking the life out of me, but i just had to answer this immediately
yeah it was absolutely wild man. i don't think anyone except like a few people liked me because to this day i'm still only friends with two of them. the way i was absolutely witched hunted i tell you :sob: i 100% made more enemies than friends. even my readers were mean, and i just took it all for some reason? i've been on tumblr for about a year and half now, and i haven't had a single mean fan, but back in the day, i think i had more than i can count. yes i was on wattpad for longer, but considering the ratio, that's crazy. i have about 2.2k followers here (love all of you guys mwa mwa) and i have zero mean fans. on wattpad i think i have like 260 something, and the fact that i cant count the amount of mean fans i had is insane. if i didn't have those friends, i would be convinced it was a fever dream. if you were on wattpad at the time, you'd understand how jarring the swap from that fandom to this one would be. fanfics are allowed? still kinda crazy to me actually. can't believe being an author is welcome here! im part of a zine now!!! i didn't think that was every going to happen. have no clue how the hell this pipeline happened, but hey! at least there's two examples lol. like i said before, i honestly cannot tell if it made me better or worse, but i can for sure think of all the ways it made me worse! haha.
yeah we were all kids with unrestricted internet access everyone was like 10 to 14. i was 13 or 14 when i entered the fandom and that was old LOL. can't believe i was the responsible adult in the room at 14! my now best friend was like 11 or so at the time. maybe its the trauma bonding or something, but we're basically siblings now. we are inseparable, package deal if you will. if you remember chev, i am exactly one day older than him lol <3 my favorite running joke but it also shows my age. the swap to this fandom was so odd, because now i'm a baby compared to everyone else lol. i can't believe i'm no longer a mediator or anything. this fandom is pretty unproblematic and it's so so refreshing to just be able to exist
if you knew who i was back in the day and didn't hate me, feel free to reach out! if you didn't still feel free to reach out haha. even if you didn't know me, you probably knew my best friend whether you liked it or not haha. i understand if you don't want to, but if you ever want to chat, i totally wouldn't mind! feel free to send me a dm and i can give you my discord. would be nice to get another outside perspective. if not, again, totally fine! have a wonderful day and hope you're recovering well. you're a fighter and deserve the best! hugs and kisses :)

Wellllll, if you learn Japanese, you can also better understand the nuances of the Japanese language that can't be accurately translated to English and therefore possibly gain even more insight on reonagi so it's definitely a win in my book.
Also I think you're talking about my post? 😂 (The Cactus one right?) Since I basically mentioned what you said about them being good for each other in areas outside of actually playing football together, and lamenting that fact because the sport was how they connected in the first place in my tags. (Does this count as self-plug? I have no idea, I just found it funny that you're coincidentally talking to (presumably) the exact person who wrote that post you referenced. The reonagi fandom really is small in tumblr fhaoidsjoa)
But yes! I agree that if they can't play together, then I want them to at least be able to separate playing football from their friendship. It's like when friends have a common interest (like video games for example) but aren't necessarily doing it professionally as a team (being in the same esports team).
I think Reo especially needs to learn that lesson because he associates Nagi with football while Nagi was able to separate his friendship with Reo from football to a certain extent (man i could go another rant about that being another reason why Reo was more hurt about the separation than Nagi AND DHSAOIDJAOSD THESE TWO!!). So unless he is able to let go of that association, their relationship is always going to hurt him and be 'toxic'.
And yesss! I think new fans (or certain character stans) tend to be the ones that look at their relationship in a black and white lens, (heck, I'm technically a new fan as well since I only got into the fandom like last month) but once you bother to look past the surface, examine the intricacies of their relationship and how they treat each other; and/or read analyses posts that provide different perspectives (like I did) then it's so much clearer how much they care and love each other. And yeah, these two are teenagers (this is probably often forgotten)!!! They aren't gonna be perfectly healthy all the time (bachisagi is an exception but even then it's because of their circumstances and not their personalities, I had a whole other derailed post with @rose-tinted-vision about that)!!! Even adults find it hard to communicate and have 100% healthy interactions in their relationships, so how are we expecting these hormonal teenagers to do that?
They aren't toxic! They just haven't learnt to communicate well with each other yet! So yeah 100% agree that they just need to communicate better instead of assuming that they looked at the same events the same way. (Reo's Nagi EQ ain't gonna work all the time Nagi, you need to ask about his thoughts and also share your own!)
And oh my god I kinda have a bone to pick with Blue Lock and Ego for separating these two in this way. Reonagi are like the usual sports anime protagonists whose partnerships are based on mutual support, trust and friendship (think kagehina, kagakuro, miyusawa, vikturi kinda counts?, etc) who were thrown into an environment that discouraged that. So obviously, they would fumble. I'm just hoping and praying that Kaneshiro-sensei has some kind of plan for them that wouldn't destroy the foundations of their partnership.
Like realistically (with how they are now and their general personalities), playing separately is probably the best for them but I also don't really want that. Not just because it would break their promise (and break my heart) but also because it's like the narrative is saying that there's only a certain way that you can have a healthy partnership in sports. Which is a really narrow-minded and frankly limiting way to look at it imo. Like sure, there are certain things you need to avoid to prevent a toxic and detrimental relationship (ie prioritising your partner instead of yourself like how Reo is with Nagi), but that doesn't mean the entire partnership is invalid. There just needs to be a few tweaks done. Otherwise, you're kinda creating a certain box for people to fit in that doesn't account for the differences in personalities and overall aptitude.
Basically.
THEIR PARTNERSHIP ISN'T WRONG DAMMIT, IT'S JUST DIFFERENT AND IF WE'RE ABLE TO HAVE DIFFERENT PARTNERSHIPS LIKE RYUSAE, KAINESS AND BACHISAGI THEN WE CAN SLOT IN REONAGI OKAY
Yk usually, stalking reonagi/nagireo twt is bad for my mental health bc everyone either hates Nagi or wants them to break up (again)
